Does anybody know how to deal with closed stores with GAP? I've never had this happen before, and I don't know what you're supposed to do with GAP. Should I message them through the 'enquiry' facility on the site?

Seem to have plenty booked for the weekend but very little going forward.

Still, GAP must be due to release a load of jobs soon, surely...no?

same here andy ive got tons of jobs friday through to sunday (17!!:eek::eek:) .... but dependant on this hotel visit times i might have to release some of them as not ones i can do on other days :( then for the rest of the month I only have 5 jobs and they all involve long drives so unless i get another job/s to go alongside them not viable at all :( fingers crossed i can get the majority done even with a night away and then I will be spending monday sleeping!

as for GAP I am about to do first two phone jobs for them tomorrow and apart from that Im still not seeing anything anywhere near me and STILL cannot take the italian foodie test.. i have emailed them as Ive read through everything but wont let me sit a test. I know being veggie means I cant do some jobs but Im sure I should be at least able to take the test

This happened to me with a travel agent. I emailed them through the website and they called me to say that as it's not my fault, I'll get paid for it. I did take a pic of the shop front just in case.

i'm going to attempt to trawl through a lot of these threads as i'm getting more intruiged by the possibility.

if i could trouble the regulars with two questions though that would help out a great deal :)

    1) is a car essential ? i'm not allowed to drive for medical reasons. which also makes going out in the evening nigh on impossible.

    2) would £80 a month be easily achievable ?

if it seems like something i could jump in to then i'm certainly up for it :)

I would say go for it!

I don't drive and have regular work, both fairly locally and further afield - I'm seeing parts of Glasgow I never knew existed and we've lived here nearly fifteen years!

It's amazing how far you can get on a £3.50 all day ticket - I've done six jobs today - five on that one ticket!

This week I've completed 15 jobs so far and that's a fairly quiet week for me - it's usually at least 20+ and a lot come in that I don't really bother with. I know now which I like and which are too much hassle:rolleyes:

Next week I've got four flights with really good fees (it's the one job, just four separate destinations) and I managed to nab a good job at the airport too. At least I'll have a bit of a break in Berlin & Paris - it's just the four reports as soon as I get back.:eek:

The fees vary from a few pounds to quite decent money. If it is only a few quid I try to at least do several of them in the one day, but mostly these days my fees are not bad at all - not a fortune - but I can still do my other work as and when that comes in.

    Give it a go - good luck:D
    ;)

Thanks. I took a picture too, to be on the safe side, but my one was one of the phone shops that is supposed to be inside another shop (national cosmetics and toiletries chain), so the photo only really shows the front of the open cosmetics store.

    1. No - I manage with public transport, but I do have a pass anyway, so it has no impact on my costs, whereas if you're paying for the travel it might eat away at your income more than a car might.

    2. I think so - if you work on the basis of an average fee of £5, which is probably about right, that's 16 jobs a month, or roughly one every two days. That's probably achievable if you're registered with enough companies and are online when the jobs come up.

Has anyone done the pawnbrokers ones for RE before? If so, how did it go?

I really enjoyed mine; I wasn't sure if I would feel comfortable but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff seemed very well trained and were symapthetic to me(!).
Me again, just had an email to say I can do both, so I have booked them both and they have been accepted. Wonder if I will get an email cancelling one. Will let you know.

I've done 2 at once before and didn't have any troubles with it.

Looking at just starting this mystery shopping scheme, any ideas how long I will be waiting til I get my first job? And even if a fee for a job is only £5 can you still claim travel expences? I've joined RE and Gap and a few of the others!

    Thanks guys!

No. That all depends on when the companies release jobs and if you're online when they do or not.

    TNS - yes
Vast majority of others - no
