Next day, another phone call, asking for the picture, which I emailed again.
Next day (at about midinght) another email....
All this work, it's not worth it for the fee they pay.
How about emailing them a picture of you emailing them? (you might need to email them a picture of a picture of you emailing the picture, just to be sure).
Grrr it's like nobody there talks to each other and a system for managing these things is clearly too much to ask.
Having said that, if they have the same IT person as does the website, I feel for them, I really really feel for them!0 -
I'm still none the wiser, emailed last night asking them to contact me but so far nothing!MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0

12 jobs pending from the last fortnight and they have had the audacity to dock me 2 points for failing to post a report within 24 hours, despite their crap site being down. Needless to say i've fired off an e-mail in disgust.0

I have just tried to complete my report for ISC for a visit tp a budget supermarket and I've come to the questions about employees knowledge but can't see anything in the briefing notes that says ask an employee questions. I've obviously missed something but just can't see what. I tried so hard to get this report correct as it's only my second job for them. I missed something and didn't get paid for the first one and ended up very out of pocket. At least with this one I have products that are useful.
As you say, they didn't request staff interaction on the brief so I ticked n/a and it went through without a query. I presume the question is there for when they do request it.Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -
Just had an email from Optimum, they arent happy with the report I filed for the bowling centre yesterday
Apparantly, the client wont be happy with yes or no answers in the report, but my argument is what the hell are you supposed to put in the comments box when a yes or no answer is sufficient to that particular question?0 -
I think that in general with RE. With Gap, they ask you the questions in the email, then you can answer them straight away, job done. If there is anything odd, then they might ring but generally much easier I think.
I got a bit annoyed with RE on Friday. Every time I do a job for a particular restaurant chain, any negative item is 'queried' by the client, e.g. they contradict it. It's got to the point that I find myself not putting things down as negative, just because I don't want the annoying phone call. Do they expect me to change my answers to suit the staff? If I said that they didn't offer me any side orders, there were no posters outside, and my food was burnt, why ring me to check if I'm going to change my story? It's like they just take their staff's word over the mystery shopper, in which case why do they bother with mystery shopping at all. Just ask the staff if they are doing an excellent job and save themselves the money.
Sorry rant over, not having a very good few days, too stressed and stupid phone calls make me feel worse. Time for a break from MS for a while for me.
If the client queries your report, RE are obliged to verify it with you. I presume some shoppers recant, so perhaps some clients think it's worth a try. What have they got to lose?
It is annoying but don't take it personally. I sometimes overhear my DH on the phone to RE saying affably. 'No, that's a lie.... That's a lie.... That one's definitely a lie. OK, thanks. Bye!'Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0
