Has anyone had any queries after doing a 'torso' shop on RE?
I did, but because I couldn't take a photo, as the sales assistant was standing in the entrance watching me. They accepted this in the end.

I got a query last night (over a week after submitting it!) but all it said was to ring them about it so have no idea what it's about as they didn't answer. Wouldn't it have been easier for them to tell me the query in the email??!

I think that in general with RE. With Gap, they ask you the questions in the email, then you can answer them straight away, job done. If there is anything odd, then they might ring but generally much easier I think.

I got a bit annoyed with RE on Friday. Every time I do a job for a particular restaurant chain, any negative item is 'queried' by the client, e.g. they contradict it. It's got to the point that I find myself not putting things down as negative, just because I don't want the annoying phone call. Do they expect me to change my answers to suit the staff? If I said that they didn't offer me any side orders, there were no posters outside, and my food was burnt, why ring me to check if I'm going to change my story? It's like they just take their staff's word over the mystery shopper, in which case why do they bother with mystery shopping at all. Just ask the staff if they are doing an excellent job and save themselves the money.

Sorry rant over, not having a very good few days, too stressed and stupid phone calls make me feel worse. Time for a break from MS for a while for me.

I have had stupid queries from RE before.....I've just said to them that I recorded accurate details and if they want to change what I've said to suit the client then that's fine. They were almost obsessive about changing one thing....I said I didn't know if that particular 'thing' was cleaned on a regular basis, all I knew was that it wasn't clean when I was there. I shan't go into details but the feedback I gave would have been very useful to the venue assessed as they could review their cleaning schedule and improved the presentation.

I just reply to the email asking for them to email the question. I don't know why they don't just do it to begin with, it would much less labour intensive.

I had a phone call from them about a job I'd done, where they said I hadn't submitted a picture of the store. They asked me to email it to them, which I did.

Next day, I get an email from them asking me to email the picture, which I did.

Next day, another phone call, asking for the picture, which I emailed again.

Next day (at about midinght) another email....

All this work, it's not worth it for the fee they pay.
    Happy New Year

I submitted a report to RE last weekend and as soon as I hit send realised I'd sent the receipt twice and the photo not at all. Emailed it off stright away -I feel all neglected now because I only got one email and phone call ;)
