Ok lets place our bets on house prices in 2013

We're a selfish lot on the whole. Only worried about what house prices are going to do for us.
I am just relieved that we were able to buy a house that was suitable and adequate to bring up our children. I've never looked on it as being an investment rather than a home. If, once we no longer need it as a family home, and are driven by the need, we will sell it and downsize.
There will be so many now/in the near future who will not be able to meet that same basic need, who will be stuck in a house too small to start a family or to give their children a decent space to grow up in.0
