Hi all
I've been offline for 5 days, so I'm a bit out of touch with all that's happening.
So, ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need them, especially, H-J and Sunnygirl.
Sunnyday I don't envy you - best of luck with the court. I once got called for jury service, but was excused on medical grounds.
Pen-Pin sorry you're having a bad day - I do hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.
Apart from our Beltane celebrations, I've been getting Mr LW to help with the heavy cleaning jobs - I think I now have him convinced of the virtues of Stardrops!
Did a recipe for banana cake that I'd never tried before, and thankfully he has pronounced it to be "yum". Have also made a gooseberry crumble with the last of last years goosegogs out of the freezer. Trying to use up bits'n'bobs to make some room for new season stuff.
Not got as much done in the garden as I'd like - I have a vague suspicion that Mr LW is secretly doing rain-dances, so that he'll get out of gardening. LOL
Realised today we'll be away for the European Parliament elections, so have downloaded forms to apply for postal voting for this time.
Hope everyone is well and happy.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone
Supermarket'd out - visited Netto, Asda and Morrisons today, spent the most in Netto though;);).
Large Crunchy Nut Cornflakes £1.99, Low Fat Cathedral Cheese, real nice texture, try it if need a low fat version, Plum Peeled Tomatoes £0.33. Y/S Fish and Meat from Asda (quick nip round while waiting for prescription), didn't find much from Morrisons (they didn't have what I went for).
Have a nice evening

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Evening all
Well, DH still no wiser as to whether he has a job or not. Called them all in individually and asked questions about how they would deal with problems that the new job on offer would hold and said they would hear in the next day or two who would be staying and who would be going. GRRRRRRRRRRRR  We are all on tenterhooks until then
Sunnygirl - hope your Dad's operation is successful
Redruby - Glad you got somewhere at last with your DD's school
PP - Hope you are feeling better soon
Been to work all day today and came home to find our recycling box for paper has been pinched  Is nothing sacredHave e-mailed the Council to see if we can have another one.
Hugs to all xxxx0 -

It seems that people can help themselves and destroy what they want. We had the slab on the top of the drive post knocked off at the weekend. They did a few on the street. Lucky my car wasnt there at the time.:mad:Although I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Evening peeps,
i`ve sat down for the remainder of the night hopefully
MSD`s apple cake is cooling in the kitchen and there is a sun dried tomato and parmesan loaf in the breadmaker. The washing machine and dishwasher are loaded up and ready to go and the coffee maker is full and set on a timer for the morning, i`ve also dug my smallest flask out to fill and stash in my handbag (which is rather large) as i have no intentions of buying anything to drink tomorrow. I think i`ll shove a book in as well in case i`m waiting around.
Thanks for the support everyone the advice and pms have made me feel much better about it all and it will soon be over.
I did manage to get out and earth up the potatoes after all once the rain stopped and i weeded some of my square foot gardening tubs. The cupboard at the back of the living room is around a third finished and i have found many missing items in there  the shopping reciepts are now gathered and ready for the calculator but i shall leave that for another day.
((((HUGS)))) for everyone tonight needed or not and as MM would say - thankyou for being my friends x
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
ooooh thats nasty Teresita - there are some horrible ****s out there
Council have just replied back saying a new box will be with me within 15 days :j To be honest I expected them to charge me for a second one so am quite impressed with that and their speed at replying too0 -

Hope everything went well for your dad SunnyGirl ((((hugs)))).
Hoping everyone has had a good evening. We've had a little rain today but not much. First in weeks I think!
We had the estate agent round today taking some photos and starting us off on the HIP info. Everything is very tidy so did a non-MSE thing and had a microwave meal for tea. It was 75% off though so not too bad.
Off for an early night.
Thinking of you all

Just popping in to say thank you for all the good wishes. :A
Hospital appointment didn't go great tbh but there you go.
The car didn't get on very well in its service either (needs parts) so both it and I are returning to Glasgow in a couple of weeks for more work.
No OS today. Breakfast was a McD's coffee (couldn't find the flask this morning) and lunch was an M&S sarnie.:p
I did buy some new teatowels though if that counts.:D
OH made tea and has done the school lunches for the girls:A so I'm off to bed soon after all that driving in torrential rain:rolleyes:.
Thinking of you and your Dad Sunnygirl.
Good luck for tommorrow SunnyDay.
Nice to see you Charlie's mum :hello: (Can all the others come back now please?)
Hope your DH hears about the job soon Chrisca.
Night all. xxxx0 -
Home at last, quick bath, got ready for another early start, now chilling out with a glass of wine (not terriblyOS:D).
Anyway, if anyone is still about, hope you had a good day.
Sunnygirl - hope all went well with your Dad's op.
OS preparations not followed through by family - left chicken and salad in the fridge, DD2 went to boyfriend's to eat and OH went out to dinner with his family. Oh well, more leftovers for tomorrow!GC April 93.92/5000
