Afternoon all,
Three loads of washing done and on the line, it turned out nice here, sunny and breezy, so it should get dry, sorry for those with rain.
Hoovered through upstairs and down, mopped floors, cleaned kitchen and bathroom, cleaned car out eugh it was filthy, and I hate that job, still its done for another few months now.
Just going to do an online shop, and will then get on with the dinner. Going to do a roast i think.
In between times I have been on to the school, and am no where nearer an answer, but the deputy head and I are now good friends , its a bit of a long story, so I wont bore you with it, surfice to say we have a lot of thinking to do.
Sunnygirl, still thinking of you xx
Haribo, hope all goes well at the hosp xx
Ok better get on with shopping x0 -
well its raining here on a study day at home to do some uni work, really cant motivate myself, have left shoulder pain which is agonising today (comes and goes husband says its coz spend too much time on internet!!) so have taken some painkillers.
just had some lunch trying to cut down on bread and mushrooms as yeast gives me nasty stomach ache and also thrush, cut it out in august last year for 6mths and improved and then reintroduced as sometimes this works and no thrush has increased so back to cutting it down then out - I am a bread lover. so had some left over mash potato and cauliflower chessey bake thing with some beans for lunch.
now trying to motivate myself to start work again.hmmm good thing I dont work from home!!0 -
Sunnygirl and Haribo
Good luck with the hospital.
Gentle hug to pennypincher and hope you feel a bit better soon.
Finally had an empty house so scrubbed the bathroom and had just put special stuff down the loo - when DH arrived home early - wanting the loo!!! I actually put stuff down the loo at 1a.m. once thinking it would have time to work, then heard someone going into the bathroom a few minutes later!
Managed to find the last small bottle of hand sanitiser in the shops and gave it to DD to take back to work with her at the hospital and made her promise that if she got ill she woud let us know so we could look after her.
DH had a la leftovers for lunch and I had a salad.
Might do potato salad for tea if the weather improves and a pasta dish for little miss picky.
Enjoying the peace and quiet and a cup of tea.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

wannabe_sybil wrote: »Edited to add - Sunnyday - ring the court. They should have included a map with the summons to be a witness, and at the very least they should be able to give clear directions (depending on who answers the phone) and also tell you exactly what will happen. Write down questions, concerns then ring and don't ring off until you feel better. Good luck. Also, I think Janepig who posts on the Arms sometimes is something to do with the Magistrates. Never underestimate the collected wisdom of MSE.
Hi Sybil,
thanks very much for this. I have left a message on the witness care answerphone and they have called me back confirming that i do still need to attend, i wish i`d checked here first
I`ve googled the address and found the road and hopefully the building will be easy to spot. I`ve looked online and found a bit of information but i don`t think that the nervous feeling will go away until it`s all over. I feel rather lost now that the other person is not going as he was going to let me know everything i needed to know so i was relying rather heavily on him i`m afraid. Aw well fingers crossed, i`m worried that i`ll do something wrong and look silly too
One shelf of the cupboard is now clear and sorted which will make the rest of it a bit easier to pick my way through and i`ve also finished a rather large pile of ironing :T i need to pop out and post a couple of letters shortly, one to claim on my health insurance for some dental work and one item is a card for my friend who has just given birth to a bouncing baby boy :T i shall wrap up well as i shall be soaked yet again
Have a nice afternoon guys
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

Afternoon all.
Been up to the shops this morning, quite a few reduced bits from the Co-op,then went in a cheapie shop to stock up on toothpaste and brushes but got seduced into buying two food flasks as I had been eyeing them up in Lakeland and they were a good bit cheaper.I can send DH and DS2 to work with some chunky soups now-will warm them up when its chilly like today, and much cheaper than buying those polystyrene cups from the bakers so thats my OS bit for today.
Since I got back I have been busy sweeping and mopping floors, won't stay clean for long tho' with great muddy paws coming in and out. The hound chased a neighbours cat up a tree in the garden yesterday :eek:I bundled him in sharpish but the cat wouldnt come down.He was in a poplar tree and there arent many branches low down.I called him for ages-then came in to get advice from t'internet (not too reassuring!)He was up about 25',DH ladder isnt that long.Anyway we kept looking thru the bedroom window at regular intervals to check on him, eventually after about 4 hours he came down backwards very gingerly :jI was so relieved.
I'm feeling quite excited as I have booked a city break for 4 nights to France for me and DH.DSs will look after the dog. Some friends wanted DH and his mate to go sailing, and though it wont cost much,he felt a bit guilty about going as we haven't been away together for nearly 2 years,so wanted us to go somewhere.I got a good deal on both flights and hotel. Will just have to tighten belts in the next month
Anyway enough waffle...
Sunnygirl - Thinking of your D Dad and the rest of you, waiting is horrible.Hope MIL is improving too.
HJ -Hope the hospital visit goes OK
PP - hope you feel better soon.
Sunnyday -Hope the court isnt as bad as you fear.I get worked up at things like that too,so (((HUGS)))
Hope everyone is OK,despite the rain.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all,
Back from holidays to cold miserable weather, but can't complain lucky enought to get away! It took me ages to work out that BH was Bank Holiday! :rotfl:So slow - still in holiday mode.
Anyway it was my birthday while I was away and I had presents to come back to which is always nice! My friends and family seem to have caught on to the moeny saving stuff I've been going on about, I got the Thrift Book from my friend as well as a slow cooker from my parents and a sewing machine from my boyfriend - soooo much OS money saving potential there! :j
Bobotie sounds good, will have a try of that, also loving the cheesecake recipes- haven't had cheesecake in ages! I finally decided to google Remoska seen it on here so many time and never knew what you were all talking about! Well now I do! I'm assuming most of you love them as they seem to be used a lot?
Hope everyone is well and good luck with any hospital or similar appointments for yourselves or family.

Afternoon all!
Had a fantastic bank hol weekend, went to visit new nephew, took the kids to Thorpe Park and then went to Alton Towers yesterday with friends! Now have a stinking cold though, which is driving me mad, especially all the sneezing, why oh why can't I sneeze quietly lol!
OS today pretty much involved filling the BM and WM! Feel rubbish at the mo, so gonna catch some sleep if I can stop sneezing for long enough! Dinner will be pasta based, cos it's quick and easy.
Hugs to all who need one, and nice to see you back Charlie's Mum xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Hugs to all that ned them xxAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:
