Thank you for confirming this, so a reclaim can still be made then?

I think I had mis read on the OP's post, and now take it that a reclaim complaint has been made and not that of a successful claim.;)

I think that's what has happened anyway.

I think the OP has already made a complaint and been refused, in which case I would take it to the ombudsman and do it sooner rather than later. Also demand that the PPI is cancelled, they can't not let you cancel it even if it means setting up a new loan.

Thanks for that. Just wondering if my lender is going to come back saying they cannot cancel the policy because didnt do it withing the 30 day window - no doubt they will try anything. Cheers ;)

The 30 day window is for cancelling it and getting a full refund. You should be able to cancel it at anytime but you won't neccessarily get a full refund of premiums (or even a proportionate refund of premiums).

hey guys thank you for all your replies and also i am so sorry for confusing you all with my thinking faster than i type and not getting everything in english only in chick language!!!!

The editing was right!!!! I have tried to claim the PPI back however they said I was not mis sold as i signed the agreeement. They have told me that if i want to cancel the ppi then i need to call them (on one of those expensive notices) which i refuse to do as i like to keep the proof of letters.

I have been stupid though as i tried to claim the ppi in september but when they refused me i just let it go but as ive got stronger and am trying to deal with my finances, and when i received the statement regarding my loan i thought i would post on here for some advice!!!!!

What were the reasons you gave for your mis selling? and did they just say it wasn't mis sold because you signed the agreement?

Sorry for butting in here - that was the answer we got and a couple of our reasons were that we had not ticked the box and my OH has insurance through his employment. Just getting the next letter organised!!!:D

I said that when i went to see them at the office, i was questioned if i had other payment protection and when i said no she said i need to take the ppi out with them as i can not guarentee the loan will be paid in the event of me not being able to pay.

i signed the agreement not thinking anything else as at the time i was desperate to get credit stupidly to spend spend spend... ive learnt! or am learning!

they said it wasnt mis sold as i signed the agreement and they even sent me a photocopy!
