Hiya
Just popping in to say hello  All i've done is s/s and kept up with the washing. My dad's eye hasn't improved so at the moment it's a case of trying to help him do the things he wants to do. Can anyone, therefore, tell me why I went round yesterday to find him strimming the edge of the lawn. I use the word 'edge' vey loosely as he couldn't see the edge of the lawn. He's an inteligent man...what pocessed him!!!!
Hugs to everyone. Hope you're ok tootles and LL. Hope things have settled down for you Emily.
Lil_me - are you away in the caravan this weekend? We're going away so i'm hoping the pouring rain stops soon!!!
Massive hugs to you all xx0 -

morning all......oh afternoon I mean. Not been able to catch up with thread. Still struggling to keep motivated but I know its a lot better than it used to be. Did 4 huge pots of food on Wednesday evening which meant no time for any housework but at least I have enough food in the freezer to last me a life time!! and all done in individual portions so hopefully when I'm working I will be eating healthy and have more time on my hands.
Now going to tackle the bathroom. Mmmm maybe I can get my first star for this ;-)0 -
HHC overran but I have finished the kitchen (star please toots), went out in between showers to the butcher so have a chicken casserole in the SC and mince cooking on the hob, have started on the LR just need to wipe down and hoover.0

Lol xxJoxx mine can be such a pain. She's a shocking snob, and really her mantra should be .... "think it, don't say it! .... think it, don't say it! .... think it, don't say it! .... think it, don't say it! "
I said I was thinking about putting the flat tv on the mantle piece rather than taking up a whole alcove just for a tv unit.... her response
" OH NO!!!!! that's too awful, not up there, how chavy "
I said " you are such a dreadful snob, "
She can be shocking... but don't get me started on my mother stories!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway Jo I hope things don't change for you, Mr Sh's work has been taken over 4 times now. It hasn't changed a thing, just who the pay check comes from. Every year another company submits a tender to take over their part of the operation, and every year, someone new gets it! :rolleyes:MMSSB Club Founder Member

I think they are hoping thats the plan; the current owners never have much involvement to be fair, they just leave the Directors to run the show.
But I work in Financial Services which is a very fickle industry, especially at the minute..........will just have to wait and see what happens. xSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

In my HHC, I hoovered everywhere except the kitchen (will explain why in a mo), put away dry washing up and decluttered the bathroom floor, which was mainly clear anyway. I also sorted out my handbag and threw away millions of receipts, used tissues and old shopping lists!
I stopped hoovering just before I got to the kitchen, cos on This Morning they were talking about weight issues with Natalie Cassidy, and when I went back to carry on, the hoover wouldn't workIt has lights that come on when you turn it on, to show how strong the suction is, and they came on but nothing else did, no noise or suction. I can't find out why. Will have to leave it till DH gets home and has a look at it.
Kitchen floor isn't too bad fortunately.

Mudbath, is your dad mad? Using a strimmer when you can’t see what you’re strimming is asking for trouble! He probably wanted to do normal things for a while and feel like his old self for a bit, which is understandable but he needs to be careful about what he chooses to do!
Jo, hugs babe, hope they are right when they say that things won’t change under the new owners
Aimme, well done on doing the food, that’s great. Don’t worry about motivation, just keep posting and we will encourage you. Try to do one thing and then tell us and all our cheering will move you to want to do something else! Works for me anyway!
