Morning everybody
serena Happy birthday to DD - hope the driving lesson goes well!ladybirdintheuk wrote: »I have achieved pretty much no flying at all this week (I do however havee a happy and entertained baby, which is FAR more important!)!
SS supergirl - BABYSTEPS !!!!:rotfl: Hi babes :wave:Are you going to re-do the LR - Its not easy living amongst ongoing decorating - I know just how you feel!!! I hope you feel better soon - dont go overdoing it today - look what happened earlier this week!!
doelani hope the pain is easier later - good for you for being sensible and taking it easy!
boddy (((hugs))) thats a shame that you felt bad telling her about it - maybe as the others and you have said she is just concerned about you doing too much - but its your life and you know what you can manage - I think you would get stir-crazy if you had nothing to do/people to speak to. I hope once you retire from your other job she will accept it better.
sexy Hi honey - I am glad your aches are getting easier! Thats very disappointing about the cancelled work and I hope the agency will mange to replace it for you - have you spoken to the agency about the incident and the head at the school to see why they have cancelled you - seems unfair to me - i would have thought you would have been a good choice as you would know what to expect? have a nice time with exneighbour and her baby - that will be lovely.
mozzy good luck with the viewing
gingernut you are making progress with that monthly list - well done
soappie hope your last day isnt too bad and you get away early - Did they treat you to a nice lunch?
If you knew me you would know that I am a very independant so-in-so but I am going to ask you for help!!!......:o
Does anyone have a neck collar/support that they no longer need - the soft foam kind - I am struggling holding my head up as the day goes on and I get tired and it has been suggested that this might help - I thought I would ask before I go and buy one. I will be happy to pay the postage - just let me know.:D
I hope pigpen is just very busy - we cant help but worry - we just need to do the children's/spare room or wherever you havent touched this week - use last weeks list to keep you right if you need to.
Its like blooming winter here - blowing a gale and lashing with rain and I have to go out!!!! I am going to see NOF this afternoon.
better get a wiggle on and do something before i go.
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Has Rosepink been in today, hope she is ok...
How sweet of you to miss me, I feel really touched :A
Today, so far, I have done absolutely nothing! Have been on here catching up with the thread, and have done some online banking and found a blank video, but not done anything else I had planned! Ooops!
Better get going, altho I'm watching a Midsomer I had taped and I need to hooover.
GTX, sorry to hear about your back. Hope things go well with the op, keep us posted. When it’s going to be? Is it for a slipped disc or something?
Emily hope your cold is better soon. How are things with DH? Have you been in touch with your friend? Hope you are ok xx
Soappie, hope your BFUP gets things sorted soon, good the school are sorting things out. If I was one of the parents I would be too busy sorting my kid out to worry about the photos!
Greenbee, thanks for the link to the Claire Richards thing, I wanted to watch that but don’t have BBC4, so glad to know I can watch it on the iplayer!
Boddy, does your DD worry you are going to catch something? Like MRSA or something?
Rach, I hope you get the job. Sorry to hear about your friend, I wonder if he has a case for discrimination? I’m sure dyslexia should count as a disability.
Valli and Justamum, my quirks are having the loo roll the right way round, I change it if I’m out and it’s the wrong way round. I can’t stand it if people leave the light on when they leave a room empty and have even reached into the men’s loo to turn lights off when I know the loo is empty. And I really really hate it if DH leaves cupboards and drawers open and I have to shut them. I like having my notes facing the same way, with the queens head on the side facing me.
Frodders, big hugs to you and the family of the young man, so sorry to hear about it.
Oddjob, so nice to see you, please come back soon
Phil and Wilf, please come back, we miss you!
Princess Jane, your MIL is disgusting! Are you plotting your revenge?
Nicki, hugs, I completely understand about the money as we are often in that position. Hope you get through it
Doelani hugs
Sexy, it’s a shame about the work, seems odd they would cancel you
Hugs Toots
Hope Pigpen is ok

Morning all :hello:
Hope you are all having a good day. This morning, I gave the children's bathroom a good blitz. I don't know how they manage to get toothpaste everywhere! Have booked 2 hospital appointments for dd and ds (different reasons) after seeing GP yesterday. I have put all the clean washing away, and laid out children's clothes for tomorrow. Dad goes into hospital on Thursday (in London) so Mum is bringing Dad up, to see us and the children before the op. We are going to have lunch together here, and it will be really nice to see them and catch up. I have been deciding what to do for lunch. I think I will do salmon with watercress sauce, new potatoes and a salad and Eton Mess for afters. Nothing too complicated. After lunch I will give the lounge a quick clean, although thanks to flying, I don't need to do that much :j:D
Have a nice afternoon and a great weekend! Abbie xxx

Hi Toots
I've been very good, and taken it gently today. I didn't walk the dog this morning, Mr Sh... ( who has been relegated from DH to OH because he was late home and mardy yesterday )... can do it later.
I've made a good start on the front room (dining room ) and the table - AKA massive hot spot! Sorted out loads of mending, chucked out (put in charity bag for rag collection ) what I'm never going to get round to fixing. And Freecycled some bits. Put the curtains which divide the room back up. They may as well be up rather than sitting in a heap on the chair!
And, I've tidied up and reorganised the 'gloves and scarves and shades' drawer that DD3 ransacked yesterday!! She walked around with three scarves, a pair of gloves and shades on yesterday evening!!
So loads done, but nothing too energetic! It does look better.
OO Rant/moan back on
My Mother also drove me mad yesterday. She cast a critical eye around the decorating...
(which is all painted, but needs another coat - which it's not going to get because I don't like the colour - so it looks worse than before we started, but has to wait until I'm better enough to decide on a new colour scheme to match the gorgeous now sofas... all of which my Mother is well aware of )
and then said...
"so is your plan to get it decorated before your new sofas come in 12 weeks " I looked at her for a moment before replying
"no, Mum, we thought we'd leave it like this, the streaky effect is beginning to grow on me, so I thought the new beautiful dark brown soft leather sofas would look just fab in here "
Honestly, some times sarcasm is the only possible response!!!!
