I can totally relate, I had to collect DD1 from school yet again today, asthma attack. Last week its been huge meltdowns, very stressful tto deal with.
    Triker wrote: »
Think most of it is exam stress but took her to Doctor tonight re asthma etc.

He advised Kalms herbal for my DD's stress and some other stuff re the asthma. I do wish there wasn't so much pressure re these blinking GCSE's. It affects everyone.

Hope your DD feels better soon. Hugs to you too for dealing with it in a caring manner. xx
Thanks for your hugs - the same back to you too! My DD is also an asthmatic & is usually worse in May, I think it's due to hay fever as anti-histamine seems to help a lot. I hadn't thought of Kalms or Bach Rescue Remedy ( thanks lil-me), I'll try & get her some today. I used them when I took my (several) driving tests. I'm sure they pile more pressure on kids than they ever did when I was at school, probably down to these league tables.

Cally-c - have you tried to find out what's up with your DD? Is it just exam stress or is there something else?

Yes, we've tried asking her but she just shrugs her shoulders & says there's nothing else. I took her to the Docs who also thought there was something going on, but he got the same response. I offered to leave the room so she could talk in private but DD said her answer would still be the same. They have a 'Teen Clinic' at the Docs where they can just dop in at lunch-times, so he suggested she went there to have a chat. Probably the best idea at the moment!
Hope your eye is on the mend now too soappie!

toots - hope you are feeling better this morning, don't over-do it!
vickywhizz - so sorry to hear about your car - barstewards! Have you had any news from the police yet?
Jo - I was once told the best way to cope with someone you really don't want to deal with is to imagine them sitting on the loo!

    Anyway - my list..

    Hello all

Didn't get on yesterday as we went straight to town for the theatre after work - it was fantastic! Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart and Simon Callow in waiting for Godot and we were in the second row!

Oh lucky you! Some really class actors there. I used to love going to the theatre in my single days - and when I lived in London for 3 years I went quite often. I went to see an amateur group on the island here do Les Miserables a couple of months ago and it was fantastic. In fact just as good as the professional one! (Our more local amateur dramatic group is utterly dire. After seeing their panto in December I vowed never to go and see them again!)

Toots - she has forgiven me thankfully, wasn't overly impressed when i left for work this morning though but my dad works from home so will no doubt spoil her rotten so she'll quickly forget she has the hump!

Juliejim, Soappie, Mozzy, Lil-me - she's fine, although waking up at 3:30am as the anaesthetic was wearing off wasn't fun, we've both been awake since then and trying to amuse a sore puppy without waking the whole house up stretched my imagination but i think we managed it!

Now that dramas over i can get back to normal, aha, drama queen me? Never!

Big hugs to Jo (good luck for this afternoon!), Jacky, L-L, pigpen and of course Toots!

Sorry if i've missed anyone, will start using a pen and a paper so i can remember what i want to write!
