Evening all. Last check in before bed.

    Toots- REST!

Kaz - I've been on the NHS direct website a few times and its a virus. If it doesn't make any improvement this week I'm going to the doctors. My 'defences' were low over Easter after almost disappearing up my own existence a few times in March so when I finally slowed down the first week in April I got sick with a severe throat infection and then caught this bug almost straight after  As for the money saving :o:rotfl: I've been with Orange since they were Freeserve back in erm.... 2001 and I'm on the same tarrif thing so its about time I swapped to a cheaper one :o

Valli - I told her you would be proud :p:rotfl:

Jackywhizz - Hugs to you... at least you slept through it

Just come on to say hi and ((hugs))) for jsckywhizz, hollyh, lil_me, nicki and anybody else in need of one, have skim read a bit but not much so sorry to anyone else I have missed.

Its DH's birthday tomorrow , we are going to the cinema, so wont be around tomorrow night.

Have had a rubbish few days arguing but seem to have reached some kind of truce or at least he's not narked with me any more, I am still annoyed with the mean things he's said but as its his birthday am trying to push it to the back of my mind and not let it spoil tomorrow. We finally got the mortgage sorted though :) The new lender came back after 7 weeks of messing us around and despite providing 9 years of financial stuff they turned us down:mad::mad:
So we went and got a new deal with our current lender who dont need any financial paperwork. Its all mucked up cos of DH being self emplyed.

Got a few bits done for the house today:
    • 2x laundry put away
    • Asda shop done
    • Asda shopping put away
    • made lasagne
    • DW on
    • DW emptied
    • DH's birthday presents wrapped

Looks like it will come in handy with all the stress at the moment, and the need to be able to see things clearly :D Thanks!

L-L - lots of positive healing vibes for you and Quillion

Princess Jane - I hope you've told OH he deserves it for inflicting his mum on you, and to snap out of it. Does MIL not enjoy pole dancing then

It's cold and windy again, so am just making hot water bottles, and will then be off to bed. Early start tomorrow, and it's going to be so much fun going to the gym when I can just about manage to walk
  • Evening everyone. I've taken ages catching up with the thread only cos I haven't any energy to fly. Perhaps I'm going down with something. On the other hand perhaps I'm just bone idle at the moment.

I've kept most of the house tidy but haven't the energy to polish windows or even vac the floors; so I'm not following the lists until I feel I can.

On the plus side I went to Slimmiing World this afternoon and Hve lost 4 lbs this week:j:j

Joined Slimming World originally in December 05 at 17st 9lb and then followed a very hilly route. I now weigh 11st 12 lbs. Whoops, I'll now have to confess to being 12st 12lbs.:o

Triker ((hugs)) I know how much GCSE stress can effect everyone else. I find Bach's rescue remedy better than Kalms.
DayDreamBeliever, amazing how quickly they become one of the family
greenbee hope your back eases up soon
Dusty I never thought about the hayfever, I might take some of DSs piriton tonight....just incase...help me sleep too! Ds2s back on his inhalers for a few weeks now, thought it had cleared but was getting breathless.
kaz well done, wow @ apology, if mr kaz is reading - stop messing up kaz's tidy rooms! Or else....erm....pigpen will sort ya out!
nicki sounds a lot like our bug, been with us since Easter too, pest isn't it?
JillD hope your DH has a nice birthday and you have a nice evening out, sorry to hear it's been a tricky time for you both x

As a small confession with GCSEs, I never lost any sleep, hit at a time I was a little bit of a rebel, I did almost no revision, maybe a couple of hours tops but fortunately I managed to still pass them all (apart from Tech which I left in protest with the other girls due to teacher being sexist...told you I was a handful...) Anyway I think I probably put my parents under more stress than I was. I had one teacher (politics and government) which had it in for me, disliked me greatly who weekly or more often sent letters home expressing his concern and saying I would be lucky to get a G. I passed with a C and told him to keep my certificate after I threw it at him :o because of the unecessary stress he put my family under (Dad had heart attack when I was 14) I have since apologised to my parents but my Dad did say I was much like him and he was just pleased I proved them all wrong!

Well I am off to bed in a mo, did dinner (DP suprised with a full dinner and suprised me by taking his own plate out lol) Going to throw some meds down first.

Oh quick one, got new electric statement 26th Dec - 28th April paid £195 (3 payments) and in credit by about £9 so overall if there haddn't been such a delay in payments over what would be an expensive time of year we used £74 less than we paid....should I lower it? This was at a time when we were home apart from 10 nights but still did laundry at home and DP was here over the weekend Thursday-Monday. I've got at least 50 more nights away booked and we're going to end up in credit by quite a bit by the looks of it. I am actually pleased as we used electric heaters etc more but were careful on many things and it seems to be paying off.

Gas came in at £7 in credit, 3rd March-28th April, 2 payments made in that time. So maybe leave that the same as it's about right.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
