Evening! Hope everyone had a good day. Managed to get both loads of washing dry even though it turned very cloudy this afternoon. It's got quite chilly now.

Also planted some tomato seeds and dad has said I can use a shelf in his porch and then a bit of his garden to try growing courgettes and squash :D Also planted some flower seeds - never tried that before.

Anyone want a packet of beetroot seeds? They were free, but I won't eat it so let me know if you fancy growing some!

rach - the play sounds great - enjoy!

princessjane - hugs; and grrrr to MiL

Quillion - hugs and prayers for you; hope all goes well

FFP - glad you had a great day yesterday

soappie - hugs; hope the eyes improve, could be some sort of allergy

flower - well done on completing the accounts

Toots - hugs; glad to hear you've been resting

I'm off to sort out my bag ready for tomorrow .............

    Hi all,

Can't believe this is on page 9 already!!! I never seem to be very good at keeping up with all these posts :o. Decided to keep a list of tasks on here with the aim of doing one every day for the month to keep me on track. I have spent a lot of time today sorting and decluttering. Got DS1 and DS2 to empty their rooms and reorganise them. We then all tackled the playroom together. I am about 1/2 way thorough having a really good declutter of the lounge and conservatory. 4 bin bags to go out with the rubbish so far. Sadly, I still have loads to do but going to use this month to really get focused. I must say that since starting on this thread I am finding it a lot easier to keep on top of all the cleaning tasks and my wife has commented on how much cleaner the house is looking :D.

Ok, long story short- get it checked by a doctor or an optician I reckon :D

    Yes Mum!

And Toots - I thought I was the one with eye problems today :rotfl: Mind you, if I hear one more reference to 'may the fourth be with you' I think I'll scream! It was funny the first time I heard it on the radio this morning but not anymore!

rosepink - yes, people sell clothes at car boot sales, but its a bit hit and miss. If its a nice sunny day, and you're with other people, its a good way of spending a bit of time socialising out in the fresh air, and you get to chat to lots of interesting people. There is no point in doing it if the weather isn't good though. Also, most of them start (like the one SGT did) at the crack of dawn.

Dusty - my aunt & uncle live between Bordeaux & Bergerac. It's lovely countryside, and we do lots of walking when we visit. It's also good cycling country. And then there's the wine...

Congrats on the accounts flower :T:T

I'm going to have an early night. I've eaten a whole packet of biscuits today, and chips with mayo, which will undo the benefit of all that running this morning :o so tomorrow needs to be even more focussed on exercise, flying and job-hunting!

    Hi Ladies and Gents,

After the 2 most horrific weeks of this year, I am back but will take it slowly.

My uncle died of heart attack 2 weeks ago, my nan collapsed (she was lucky she stayed with my parents and that my brother found her in the middle of the night) last week and I just had to say goodbye to my DH today, as he is deployed for 6 weeks to Iraq.
    Sometimes live is a b....

  • Toots - the huff is going to be horrible, she sulks at me if i go out and come in after she's gone to bed which tends to last the best part of the next day. Leaving her at the vets and the aftermath aren't going to go down too well at all! But it's the best thing for her and she'll thank me in the long run, lol!

Soappie - hope your eyes clear up soon, as others have said if it does carry on then best to get it checked out as better safe then sorry. I had tomorrow booked off of work but my dad is refusing to have me in the house worrying so have no choice but to go to work and wait for the call to pick her up! :o

MOJ2 - she owns a lot of Hannah Montana bits and pieces but since getting home from the cinema everything Hannah Montana in every magazine/catalogue in the house has been written on a 'want list' including the wii game. Think i might use it as a 'reward list' which should hopefully mean she behaves more often then not

    Since i last posted i've :
walked and fed the dog. (Also had a hunt round the house rounding up treats she'd hidden all over the place in case she eats any of them this evening or in the morning!)
bathed, read with and put my niece to bed.
made lunch for tomorrow for myself, mum and niece.

and i'm now surfing with the football on in the background looking at my lotions and potions and being thankful that the rain held off so i didn't have to tackle them today :D

Happy birthday for yesterday FFP! x

Ok, now I have to get on with flying and sorting my life, which has been a little on hold.

I'll better get on and make a list of all the things I have to organize over the next few weeks. Get the house back in order, finish last assignment, get ready for examens, sort out 2 birthday parties, book ferry ticket, sort out childcare, sort budget, sort Schultuete.
The list is endless. I better go and make a proper list and categorize it all in priorities....

TOOTS - I aim for level 1 all this week.
