I saw this thread and had to...sort of....lower the tone. ;)

Those with an ileostomy, such as me, love sausages (especially Cumberland from Asda).

They help with, erm, how do I put it......output :rotfl:

We buy ours from costco. About 4 pound for 16 fat or 32 thin sausages and between 80 and 95% pork.

The ones that we prefer are the cheap ones from Aldi.
Yes, I prefer those too. They go nice and 'sticky' when cooked.

Just a quick word for Tesco's 'Finest' pork sausages. Someone earlier said they don't like herby types - neither do I and the Tesco's 'Finest' contain just pepper and nutmeg with a very high pork content and natural skins.

They're not cheap but Tesco often has a 'buy two for X' offer and they freeze extremely well, I've found.

Of course, your local butcher may well do a better one, but sadly, not everywhere has a local butcher these days.

Lovely jubbly. We don't pay the 'normal' asking price, though, as we are members of a local 'staff shop' that specialises in supermarket/retailer/manufacturer overstocks (these bangers come direct from the manufacturer because we've often seen their delivery truck parked outside, lol). Usually between 59p and 99p (depending on if the cardboard packaging is on or not!)..

i get these too! so yum.

Debbie and Andrews are definitely the best. It is worth paying more for sausages, we stock up at the Good Food Show.

Actually, I'm odd when it comes to sausages. On a barbie, I much prefer cheap & cheerful bangers. I just try not to think about the contents! lol
