According to O2 the new iphone is a myth!

I find it rather amusing that back in May, when the rumours were quite rampant about a new iPhone, that people, were stating as fact, there wasn't a new iPhone, or it would be October / November time.

That's the beauty about the internet, people can say what they want, however they want, and market it as fact.

If you don't know, just say that, don't lie through your teeth, and pretend it is fact. Back in May, no one knew, it was a rumour that it would be, and going on past announcements, the WWDC is always the platform for an iPhone Launch.

It's happened 3 times now, in the past 3 years, all at WWDC, the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G, and now the iPhone 3G S.

I still don't know what's going on! Is this not really just a software update? It's certainly not an all-singing all-dancing new iPhone!

It is getting a 3 megapixel camera, so that is a bit of a new component.

It's getting a new processor, from 413mhz to 600mhz
It's getting more ram, from 128mb to 256mb
It's also getting a graphics update
It's getting bluetooth 2.1 rather than 2.0
It's adding in the digital compass, which looks kinda cool when using maps to navigate when walking around strange cities, as it will rotate to the way you are walking...

No, it is a hardware thing, 2mp to 3mp.

No its not just a software update, better camera, faster speed etc Okay I admit it does not cook the kids tea but unfortunately you will have to eat your words.
