I think thats th best way to go i wouldn't be a teacher if they paid me a million pounds too much stess for my liking, maybe you could take extra qualifications to be a HLTA but if you haven't got a degree then to be a teacher you'd have to take 4 years out get £18,000 in student debt (which is what i've got) for a much more stressful and i dont dont think in monetary terms well rewarded job (i get paid more at the museum than i would being an NQT)

Well i've checked freezer and cupboards and made a meal plan for the week

Sat-chicken,tomato and cheese bake, pasta and roasted veg.
Sun-Rst beef, yorkies, rst pots, peas and carrots
Mon-HM meat and potato pie and frozen mixad veg
Tue-cheese and onion Quiche, jkt pot and coleslaw
    Wed-chicken curry and rice
    Thur-Lasagne and HM garlic bread
    Fri-HM Fish chips and peas

Have placed an order with Sainsburys to be delivered on Tue that came to £44 have ordered a few basic items that i've never tried before, see what they are like and then can hopefully cut back grocery bill.

Right off to get dressed and start the dreaded ironing:eek:

Well yesterday ended up going to aldi as hubby decided we should have a family bbq, so ended up spending £49 in there but was good when i got back and cancelled the sainsburys order, does mean that the meal plan needs altering as bought lots of meat for bbq and salad stuff, have quite a bit left over.

Made a fantastic trifle yesterday as a last minute pud, made a sponge cake and as i had bought loads of summer berries i cooked some with sugar and water and made a puree which i soaked the sponge in mashed it up and added more berries, topped with custard and cream and was soooooooo yummy, could have done with a splash of alcohol but dd and ds ate it so not possible.
DD and DS had left over sausages for breakfast in burger buns, we will have pasta salad for lunch and i will put some potatoes in the oven to have with the rest of the left over salad and sausages for tea, hubby has gone to work as its silage time and they need to get the grass in while the sun is shining so he will be fed and watered at work but god knows what time i will see him if at all today its not uncommon for him to come in at 2 in the morning at silage time.

I had already got the beef out of the freezer so will cook that today and use it for sandwiches or cold with salad.

Was also very good when i went shopping as i usually buy Tressemme shampoo and condition and needed conditioner but i bought some in aldi that was 69p will see how i get on with it as tressemme is £2 odd for a small bottle so will be a big saving if i like it.

I've also woken up with a stinking cold and feel yuck so have decided to have a day at home today, kiddies are happy playing in the garden if it stays warm i will get the paddling pool out for them.

Also went into Next yesterday to get DS some sandels i had a gift voucher left over from my birthday, lots of lovely summer clothes and hubby being a sweet heart offered to buy me some shorts and a couple of skirts that i liked but i was really good and said no mainly because i want to drop a dress size before we go on holiday size 14 at mo and want to be a 12 and i also said to him they will have sale before we go on hols so will wait till then, bless him he just said i love you what ever size you are but when its the sale get what you want and i will give you the money, i usually get a vip slot for the sale so can't wait now.

Groceries spend is looking go for May but there is a few things i forgot on Sunday with going to Aldi, so i wil pop into Morrisons today as i have to take car into dealers as there is something wrong with the door and won't shut properly unless you really slam it:eek:, car is only 12 months old so is still under warranty, also will nip into Comet whilst there to look at washing machine, its gone wrong again:rolleyes:, about the 4th time in 12 months and i'm sick of it, last 3 times its been something simple and OH has managed to get parts online and fix it, but last night i did a wash which it did fine, heard it on last spin went to empty it before going to bed all the lights were flashing so turned it off left it for half hour turned it back on, lights stop flashing but door won't open, hubby not sure what is wrong, said that it is probably something to do with the computery thing in it:confused: (does that make sense) any way i'm sick of it and if it means calling someone out to fix it then it will probably cost more than it is worth, so will go price one up today then order through quidco.

Have done scratchcards won total 75p and child benefit has gone into bank today have to pay acouple of bills 59p to capital one and £3.99 to La redoute will do shopping and then transfer whats left to savings account.

DD and DS are supposed to be off to the zoo today with grandparents but ds felt ill last night went to bed at 6.30pm, and has just woken up still says he does'nt feel well but insisting he want to go with grandma, he seems to have this cold i have, so know how he feels grotty but not grotty enough to stay in bed, have dosed him up with calpol and see how we get on think i might have a fight on my hands.

Well bought a new Washing machine, just bought a basic one and it was £169 so could have been a lot worse i only ever use the quick wash unless i'm washing hubbys farm clothes so don't need a fancy one, comet not on quidco so just bought it instore, hubby will fit it tonight as he was out last night, i also put it on my credit card, i do have a good reason for it, card had 0 balance and checked online and new statement was sent out friday so that means it will go on next months statement which is sent out end of June so won't need to pay for it till middle of July so savings stay in my bank longer earning me interest, not alot but better in my account.

Got to take car back on Friday for them to fit new door seals, so that will mean another couple of hours waiting, hoping it will be nice weather wise so i can sit by the bank of the river with a good book whilst kiddies play in play area its about a 15 min walk from the garage will take some snacks with me.

spent too much money in town yesterday basically just killing time, need to look online and see what the damage is.

Really feel i could save more money and need to write down everything that i am spending, so as Friday is Payday i will start my new month then and will log every penny spent.

So far this morning i have done scatchcards, total win 50p, onepoll survey 5p, lightspeed survey enough to redeem £2 to paypal.

Worked out i spent just over £30:eek: yesterday most of it on snacky stuff we did'nt really need, meal plan has also gone to pot as well, found some roast lamb in freezer so we are having lamb, rst pots, yorky puds, carrots and peas instead of chicken curry, oh well we will have curry one night next week.

Also forgot to buy toilet roll yesterday and have run out so have stuck a box of tissues in the bathroom:o, i'm refusing to leave the house to go to Tesco as i will have to take the kids with me and will spend a fortune.

Done a few more surveys today and one was for a product to trial so will recieve that in the next week:D love it when your paid to test something.

  • i have tried writing down all the food i spend in a month and found it really hard work, especially keeping the missus from sneaking flapjacks without adding them on :-)
