Hi, just found your diary. I too am on a saving journey having never been one before, I am finding it all quite exciting. You seem to be doing really well so far, keep up the good work.
I'll follow with interest, and use some of your tips if that's ok?Fashion on a ration 0 of 660 -

Just got in from work, i cannot wait for half term kids at school were wild if there not beating each other up with cardboard tubes, there whinging and whining, oh i love my job.
Well got all jobs done yesterday, need to start a new list for today and get on as out for a friends birthday meal tonight.
won 10p on scratchcard and did some onepoll surveys so i'm now at just over £27 so another £13 to go and i can withdraw hoping to do this by the end of June, just depends on what surveys i get.
Recieved an email off Sainsburys offering £10 off a £50 online shop so think i will use this and get a delivery for Tuesday.
To DO list
Make cakes for school event tommorrow (must learn to say no)
Basket of ironing
Look on ebay for HSM costume for party dd going to in june
really can't be bothered doing anything else and must get off mse.0 -
Good news.
Only today to go and then its the school holidays and i will have a fantastic week off work:j.
Had a lovely meal out last night i only spent £17 which i was pleased with as it was quite a posh restaurant.
Bad news:eek:
Did'nt get my list done yesterday which means, yes you've got it no cakes, well got in last night at 10 and could'nt be bothered (well came on mse instead), so thought i would go to bed and get up at 6 and make them then and guess who woke up late, ok don't panic will get home around 3.30 and i need them done for 5.30 so as long as there is no major disaster i can make them then, wonder if scones or biscuits would be better than cakes.
Must also do an online order with sainsburys.
Right must get kids up and get eady for work.0 -
Morning it's the holidays YEAH :j and i must get organised that means declutter house, find stuff to stick on ebay, do every survey that hits my email account.
So today i will do the 3 baskets of ironing that is sat waiting for me, do all the washing, go through the freezer and cupboards and do a meal plan for the week, do an online shop with sainsbury's to use voucher they sent need lots of bits like toothpaste, conditioner and toilet roll, do some baking especially as DS an DD are off school i always think we have locusts in the house when they are at home, both of them need to clean their rooms and they have been told that until it is done their friends are band from the house i am offically the meanest mummy in the whole world according to ds, but he can't be that bothered as all i can hear is him playing mario carts on the Wii, not going to argue with him about it and ruin my good mood he has been told how its going to be.
Nothing happening on the savings front, need a big cash injection from somewhere, don't think thats gonna happen somehow, no extra pennies till Tue when child benefitis paid and then wages on Fri.0 -
3 baskets of ironing shudder!
I initially trained to be a teacher however when i realised how much work they have to do i found alternative employment-work in a museum as an education officer so i dont get a break in the hols but do family activities etc instead so im slightly envious when my friends from my college rave about their fab holidays but im secretly smug when i leave the museum at 4.30 on an eve and dont have to do any extra work that night! Are you a TA?0 -
Yes i'm a TA, its fantastic get to work with children which i absolutly adore i think its a job you either love or hate i work part time at the mo but would love to go full time if a post came up, you get to be the nice guy and get to mother them a bit and very little work to take home and the holidays off with my own children. I have been told by several teacher that i should train to be a teacher but worry that i would not love the job as much and would resent all the take home work and not spending time with my own children, so feel TA is best for me.0
