so which one of these snipe sites would you rate as being most secure?

i would like to try one out but like HLK I would like to go with the most trusted site as they are getting access to my account.

    Hi,
I have never had a problem with bidnip in two or so years I have been using them. I would give them try, you get five free snipes when you join.

I have used EZ Snipe and they have had my details for a while and have never had any security issues with them and , touch wood, don't expect to.

Tried them all - and was using various buying accounts and changing ebay users ids every 4 weeks to keep getting free snipes. Then discovered https://www.justsnipe.com (via a kindly MSE) flat rate fee of I think £2.50 a month (most of the others take percentages of final sale price esnipe etc) no bank details needed they set up a direct debit on your paypal account. Works for me but I place 100 bids a week but whatever your level of sniping £2.50 seems fair enough.

    Thanks

    Matt.

I use auctionstealer and have never been let down but it. Three free snipes a week is enough for me!

I was just about to register for justsnipe but I see they want to capture your Ebay password and userid - do they all work this way ?
JBidWatcher runs locally on your PC, so you don't need to give your eBay password to anybody. It's available free at http://www.jbidwatcher.com/

They all do. As I said earlier in the thread if they don't have your id and password how else can they bid as you. On the plus side though all you have to do if you want to stop one of these sites bidding once your done with it is change your eBay password. And it is as secure as the site you use, ie if its a reputable site it'll be safe, if its not it won't be.

Had a quick look at Just Snipe and it doesn't look particularly good IMO. It claims to bid, on average, approximately 8 seconds before the auction ends (in the free version). Most snipers bid less than 5 seconds before auction ends. May not sound like much but I can tell you from personal experience those few extra seconds can be the difference between winning and losing an auction. 8 seconds might beat a bidder sniping manually but with these sniping programs becoming so common you also have to beat other bidders programs. So if your program bids 8 seconds before the auction ends and a rival bidders program bids 3 seconds before the auction ends, your snipe will either fail or you'll end up paying more for the item because another bid will have got in after your first snipe that you'll have to beat.
