Dustykitten

Pc playing up a bit - hangs when internet explorer is first launched. Program does not respond. Usually works on second launch. Any clues in this log please.

Id gues the ASKBARDIS (ASK toolbar) is the problem from that log
UNINSTALL the ask toolbar

TICK these in hijack then FIX them (ALL avg related) ~

Use the 32 bit AVG removal tool

Download CCLEANER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure YAHOO TOOLBAR is unticked on installation)

Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

Download GLARY UTILITIES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD NOW' ~ UNTICK the ASK toolbar on installation ~ we dont want to reinstall it )

First hitch - how do I uninstall the ask toolbar?

Done the hijack ticking and fixing and the AVG stage. I'll wait until I've uninstalled the toolbar before doing the next stage.

Daves right. Though even easier is skip to the CCLEANER part. After running as directed then goto TOOLS and the ASK toolbar should be in there. Simply highlight it and click to UNINSTALL

Open up your browser
Assuming you use Internet Explorer (bad ) then goto TOOLS ~ MANAGE ADD ONS ~ ENABLE OR DISABLE ADDONS
Id guess its incorporated itself into IE
