  • Hello,

I've been a long time lurker of this thread and the old one but haven't had the guts to post till now. Over the past year or so I have been realising how much I drink but was in denial before that, till I started reading this thread. I thought I was the only one that had a daily drinking habit, I am amazed at how many 'normal' people are the same!

The support you all give one another is fantastic and so I just wanted to say thank you to you all for helping me without you even knowing it over the past year or so. Thanks :)

I have not had any alcohol free days for a few years now but might have to try and have one, scary thought

Hope you dont mind me posting?

    Shirley :o

Right, really must get on and do something, been sat here all morning!! Got so many wonderful things to occupy my time today, washing, cooking, cleaning, shopping, the list is endless, isn't it great!!!!!

Welcome Shirley (can I call you that ;)) lovely bunch on here, have a think about our AF monthly challenge and trying to get a few days under your belt this month, I'm sure Budge won't mind adding you to the list :) good luck and keep posting!

ETA: I presume you got your username from Airplane?? So I take it this would be the wrong time to give up glue sniffing :rotfl: (if no-one has watched the films they're all gonna think I'm nuts :rotfl:).

Hello Shirley, do join us but I'm not sure you're right about 'normal people' on here!

Loved the Abba stuff, they're my favourites, reminded me of many a drunken rendition of 'Dancing Queen'.

Feeling a bit grim today, too much last night. I'm thinking it may be because I didn't take my Kudzu yesterday.

Weather here can't make up it's mind today. Very windy and rain keeps coming and going.

Try to enjoy whatever you're up to.
