Does anyone know if it's OK to take 5HTP and Kudzu at the same time?5HTP seems to be good for mood uplifting, so should take place of alcohol in an ideal world ...:j

Hi and welcome to: Glitzkiss and of course I will add you to our May Af Better Me list. As to the question why we drink too much that is difficult? We do it to escape our troubles to feel relaxed, the list goes on..............
Also we know when we have had enough but does that stop us: no it doesn't everyone on here I believe has that little madness switch that once pressed we can't switch it off again.
So welcome aboard and strap yourself in for the rest of May, good luck and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Winebox hugs sweetheart and don't be hard on yourself we have all been there. Of course you will miss your DD I remember the first time my Ds went away on his own with the school he was only 10. As I hadn't heard from him I ended up ringing the school who informed me that everyone was fine, they just didn't encourage them to ring home. (It was before everyone had a mobile, I remember that at first it was a pagerI bought him one and you used to have to ring up and leave a message which was then sent to the said pager, my oh my how things have changed). So big hugs and trust me you will be fine xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
40sm yes the list is growinglooks like you will have alot of members with you in June
you will of course I know do a brilliant job. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Bhb aha I did not know that you too were a massive Squeeze fan  you have kept that very quiet. I remember when I was just 15 thinking they were the coolest band out and a little secret. :shhh: when I was late for registration and the prefects were on the school gates I used to give my name as: Chris Difford of class 5aDo you know no one ever clicked on .................................. Oh and one more thing I SO WANTED A LEATHER JACKET WITH COOL FOR CATS ON :j but I do have bang bang on green vinyl  btw talking of Squeeze fans where is Patchy? Oh and what is your favorite song? Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Off to add my new member to my list
Budgie says: no more Argy Bargy and don't take: Sweets From A Stranger because this is no: East Side Story its more like, now how do you put it Bhb? Oh yes The Clampets meet the Dingles :rotfl:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxCherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home

CLASS :T
This morning at 4:50
I took her rather nifty
Down to an incubator
Where thirty minutes later
She gave birth to a daughter
Within a year a walker
She looked just like her mother
If there could be another
I love those lines..............
Its a shame they didn't get the fame they deserved, brilliant song writing and a brilliant band. HAPPY DAYS MY FRIEND AND THEN SOME :T xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Oh and well done on sticking to the Lime and fizzy water :T You wouldn't want to be:
Alone here in the kitchen
I feel there's something missing
I'd beg for some forgiveness
But begging's not my business
And she won't write a letter
Although I always tell her
And so it's my assumption
I'm really up the junction
So give Mrs Bhb a big hug and let her know just what a special lady she is
Budgie promises now no more Squeeze ................Cherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home

Welcome Glitz and Shirley- in safe hands here- we have a waggon train and we never let anyone fall off and not get back on again, even if they are a little worst for wear. No judgement, no guilt, just a bunch of nice people trying to support each other to get to where they want to be with regards to alcohol consumption- as you can see trying to distract yourself from the alcohol bells can involve some quite bizarre hobbies and extreme measures, and lots of dancing around the living room (this IS therapy- many people think they can't dance unless they are drunk, and it gives them a huge boost when they can- albeit in the privacy of their own home.
You ask why do we drink? Well I don't know the answer to that- for some of us its a release from the pressures of everyday life, for some of us there seems to be a genetic vulnerability, some of us just like it and there isn't a deep or meaningful reason, some people are trying to deal with work related stress or a traumatic event, some people are bored or lonely. I suppose there are as many reasons to drink as there are drinkers and we'll never get to the bottom of it- but we can manage it, it takes guts and courage and willpower but we can.
BHB- squeeze eh?- when I lived in Bridgwater some years ago the saxophone player owned my local, a pub called the Duke of Wellington, and up the road near Burnham, the Blues Bar was owned by a member of the Stranglers- anyone else met any famous people or have any connections?
I often think of the chaos us lot would cause if we were all still full on drinkers and went for a night out- christ, can you imagine the carnage??!!!0
