Oh Stroppy sorry you're so poorly (& you & 40sm both having offspring issues (pun) this morning)....can understand the desire to get bladdered but, hangover aside, as you don't know what the pain is careful the booze won't make it worse? Feel for you, what with the dental problems you've been through it lately.

On which note I have to go now to go to the dentist; always hellish (I've got was going to say genital but I mean genetic!! gum disease) so will disappear for a while....

    MP have a fantabulous time!!

    Hi Jo!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:the me & my big mouth syndrome....very good luck to you both; it's nice that it's come to you at the same time to support each other.

BHB am dead proud of you - I would've been outside a bottle in no time :T:T:T:T. Loved PIR comment about being stoned instead :rotfl:.

Stroppy haven't heard from you for a while?

Instead of being at OH's Sat & Sun I'm there tonight & Sat so on the naughty-but-nice bench for the next 2 nights (if it's a planned drinking day, is that still naughty?.....), & then HOPEFULLY an AF Sunday which would be good as it's usually my most boozy day I love that Monday hangover so much.

    Back later!

Morning stroppy, only last night I was wondering how/where you were. I always imagine that if people don't post they must be having a hard time (unless they're sunning themselves) Poor you, you sound really ill. I can understand you wanting a big drink tonight but are you on any medication? Do look after yourself.

As for the naughty-but-nice bench, it feels naughty to me because we have so many fine examples on here of people who want to give up completely. I feel so ashamed when someone posts that their world is falling apart and they feel bad because they thought about having a drink. Many a time I've thought about leaving because I'm a bit of a lightweight compared with others. Maybe I'm too easily pleased with myself for having some AF days when I had none before. Oh dear, I'm getting far too serious - must be the rain. When's this lovely hot sumer supposed to start???

No maman, I reckon we are doing really well too :D;)
I have tried many times to stop drinking every single night but failed

At my very worse I was drinking over a bottle of wine each night and goodness knows how many units of alcohol - maybe 60+ a week but even though I have not given up entirely I am still very pleased with myself and I think you should be pleased too :D
My big test was whether I could control my drinking on drinking nights - and i can - I am drinking so much less overall and my units per week are now between 10-20. I know 20 is 6 over the recommended limit but that is only the occasional week & my average is around 12/14 units a week and is still at least a third of what I used to drink so I am very happy with what I have achieved because I never thought I would

I think it's best to cut out drink altogether if you find you are unable to control what you drink - and the way you act - on the nights you do drink  but thankfully I am not making a fool of myself :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::o

Be proud maman - you are doing very well too :T
