  • Great to hear from you, Budgie, Sweetheart, you are missed when we don't get your lovely posts!! You sound a bit more cheerful and back to your usual self now? I know the rain is a pain, but hey, we don't need to water our flowerpots, do we? :j

And happy birthday to the lovely Grandmas from me too. My lovely maternal Gran died a couple of years ago, age 96, and I still think about her often. Such a lovely person :A

Just bought a new car insurance using this site for guidance - hate having to do this once a year. And I'm determined to do my boring old tax return this week too.

    Night everybody xx

I too tried to update my scores last night but was unable - I actually went to bed lights out for 10.20pm!! Just got some work to finish off now then I'll be off to bed. Home from work early, did the tea, then went to doggy school, home, Torchwood, more work and soon to bed....

No wine bells here and I even managed a supermarket at the chiming hour yday and was ok - which used to be unheard of for me.

So Jo please put me down for 5/20. thanks

Time2growup - if i said that to my mother she'd refuse to come for tea!! no ifs no buts - so well done:T

    :hello:

Some really positive stuff on here tonight. Has the rain stopped the wine bells? Well done all who've managed an AF day (including me!):T

Good to have you posting again Budgie and glad you've had a good break Fay.

I think you're being very strong Time2. I'm a real lightweight in that I do drink in the week if we have people round. Well done you!

Tonight I've been drinking Ribena light. I've found if I make it with very hot water I sip rather than gulp it down. The bottle's a good shape in my hand and the colour's about right too! Usual problems fancying a drink early on but I'm still telling myself NO! (and doing as I'm told for once).

    3AF please Jo.

Morning all, have managed to get my twins to nursery today, despite one of them having a bit of a temp this morning :o I have got my first meeting (which was delayed due to the other twin being ill last week) with Age Concern in about an hour  going to meet the team and do a bit of training I think...interestingly I have been reading up on dementia (as that is the area I will be volunteering in) and have noticed that excess alcohol is seen as a factor in getting it later in life....and it said that alcohol does damage the brain - I had never thought about that, only about how it affects the liver and general health....

anyway I feel a bit bad sending dd1 to nursery but if I had blown out today, I am sure they would have thought me not serious about doing it...will call the nursery on my return to see how she is and go get her necessary....the other point is that if dd1 hadn't gone in dd2 would never have gone either and I would have had both of them at home all day

have a good day all...and where are some of the regulars! I spose they are just off having a life! please pop in soon BHB / Lurkio / Winebox etc...xx
