Welcome to Scotsman4th and do you want to go for a target in May or are you going to see how things pan out? Good luck with whatever you decide, just let me know if you want to go onto the list for May. Hugs and take care. xxxxxx

Sure, I had a drink on Saturday night and as I'd said, I'm on nights (which means I wouldnt have any opportunity to drink anyway) but i'll go for the rest of May.
  • Morning everybody

AF again last night, so 3 AFDs so far in May. I've lost a couple of pounds, think it's because of not drinking every evening over the bank holiday weekend. :j:j:j

I'm also obsessed with weighing myself - weight can go right down first thing in the morning when I've overdone the wine the previous evening, due to dehydration, but then goes right up again by the end of the day due to so much water and tea being drunk, and extra carbohydrates that my body starts crying out for.

Started the Kudzu's yesterday, I think they might be starting to kick in today.

Have a lovely day - raining here again
    Total AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)

Fay, you made me smile!! I have a bowl of 'posh' soaps in the bathroom which are not to be used - just for decoration :rotfl:

We have just decorated the downstairs loo and I have some gorgeous soaps I was given for Christmas decorated with real rose buds, lavender etc etc. Far too nice to use, so this morning I am off out to find a nice bathroom jar to display them in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

God help anyone who actually uses the things!!!!:rolleyes:

Hi all- I don't know what happened but I spent ages yesterday thanking everyone here and just logged on and its unthanked you all...ggrrrrr SO THANKYOU EVERYONE! (group thank).

Best of luck today everyone- had an interesting conversation with an old freind yesterday, shes met a nice bloke at AA and hes asked her out, but shes so scared he'll have a relapse she won't go even though hes really nice- just wandered if two people with a drink problem would be more likely to support each other, or if one lapsed would the other be likely to as well?

I tend to steer clear of heavy drinkers now because I just don't want to get sucked into that scene again, but I wonder if I would be able to date a heavy drinker without being worried, I dread the 'go on, one won't harm you...' conversations with people who don't know me very well.

Best of luck everyone today-thanks for the scoring budgie, you're doing a grand job.

I have seen it suggested that six months sobriety for both parties is sensible.

Hey, maybe I'll rethink my aversion to AA after all?:D:rolleyes: Never thought about going on the pull there.....no, no, no, behave, behave, behave, that is so NOT the reason I should be going!!! Its hard though isn't it, just because I can't have a relationship with alcohol, shouldn't mean I avoid people who do drink and keep it under control, but I do:rolleyes:

    Afternoon all!!

    AWOL Miss P reporting in!

Budgie - 4 for me please!!!

Noynoy - You will need to speak to your childs nursery as they claim the funds back off the government. You may find it only covers certain hours. Piglet went 3-6 tue and thu but the vouchers don't cover it. So he now goes 1-6 on those days. Vouchers cover 1-3.30 and we have to pay for rest. Also, only available in term times. Hope that helps!

Well it was a busy weekend in the Miss P household. Wine bells clanged a LOT but managed to resist. Did a car boot sunday which involved getting up very early, so that meant couldn't drink Saturday night anyway.
Why is it though that as soon as I decide on an AF May the wine bells start clanging like this!?

Good thing is, me and OH are really broke this month, so don't have enough to buy wine anyway :rotfl:See, theres a good side to everything!:rotfl:

    Miss P
    xx
