Hugs FUAS, I find I feel better if I'm out in the open, how's the weather there, could you go for a walk?

I've just spent 2 hours tidying the garden and planting some herb plants from B+Q. Woke up feeling low for whatever reason and I feel like crying (not sure why?). Gardening took my mind of things and felt great outside. Now come in for a rest and to tackle the kitchen and feel the same again.

No chance of drinking today, need to take something out of the freezer for tea, housework to distract me today and take my mind of how I feel emotionally.

    Hiya
If its any consolation (or not?) I have been feeling like this alot - dunno if its the reality of dealing with things without switching brain off - or just a general body adjustment to such a change in alcohol consumption for me.

Maybe some of the others might know?

When I took away my alleged coping mechanism (alcohol) its been very odd indeed

    hugs to you dude

Can you stick on some nice music or something that will remind you of nice stuff (for me its abba or other silly stuff) or immerse yourself in a book?

I also have days like that, feel really down in the dumps, I've found that chopping the brambles in the garden helps, come round a chop some down if ya like FUAS ;)

Doesn't exercise release "happy" endorphins or something. I find when I feel that way I HAVE to get out of the house.

Exercise releases endorphins in the brain which improve mood (I'm not a medical doctor so that's all I know!!!). I find going to the gym helps me because it combats my depression and while I'm at the gym it occupies my time so I can't drink :D Running seems to be the best help for me, or any aerobic exercise for about 30 minutes. Hopefully I won't develop a gym addiction ;)

    Anyone else find exercise helps?

FUAS...I too feel like this somedays....could just be hormones.

Put on some of your favourite music and dance your way throught the housework.....It gets things done quicker as well.

    Hope your soon feel 'normal'

Jo, If I lived any closer I would and birng some HM biscuits with me for a cup of tea and biscuit break  :D
I've cleared a lot out of the garden, and has taken a long time to get rid of the clearings into the compost bin and recycle bin, should be clear by the end of the month! At last! I'm planning to use for veggies next year so will dig it over at the end of the summer and hope for the best!

Ho hum, thought I'd better do it today as a lot of rain is forecast later and for the weekend. All done now apart from the brocoli plants that need putting in the garden or pots but I am not sure what they will like

Fay, can you help? The knowledgeable mistress gardener :D

Feeling better now, glad I took the day off work :j
