    :hello:

Missed you all yesterday so I had about 7 pages to catch up with today!! You are such a chatty crowd. (Apologies but I logged onto the site when I was out at lunchtime and caught up with 5 pages without logging in as me so wasn't able to thank anyone.)

Won't do many personals because I can't remember who said what but have loved the jokes and also the fantastic stages of drinking/hungover. Well done everyone who's managing AF (and that's a lot) and welcome newbies

Jo, I think your liver test gives us all a big kick up the bum (we are allowed to say bum on here are n't we?). I'm sure you'll manage to put it all right but ALL of us have been at risk, so you've managed to give us a big wake up call.

Fay your present looks really great and well done BB for organising it. Your home also looks fab, and it can't all be down to the cleaner. Very Homes & Gardens!

One question I wanted to ask: Lots of you have been writing about 'addiction' books you have been reading. Do you read them in plain brown wrappers? I ask because nobody knows about my AF challenge only OH really knows I've been cutting down. How do you manage?

Had a lovely day out yesterday, not AF but only three glasses (and only 1 was large). Oliver was great but theatre was so hot I just wanted water. Been back on the slimline tonic tonight.

    3AF please 40SM.

Will visit to keep up over weekend but unlikely to be AF again until 16th due to holiday next week.

Goodnight Everyone and I love my computer too!!:A

Sadly, our ice cream man was found dead in his van covered in hundreds & thousands. The police think he topped himself.

Hey all that had me sniggering

Photo of delights was taken from the only clean bit of the house the dining table :)
Earlier it was covered in willow. The floors are the worst, sand, mud, dog hair etc - this is why we have the lovely cleaner lady :)

Brother no 2 off the boat and I am behaving like a brat cos I am tired and he's being a bit snidey to my other brother and I wont tolerated it - families eh??:o

Its lovely to see him bbut I think on the scale of something like autism I need advance notice of people coming for 10 days - well more notice than 48 hours

I apologise if I deteriorate over the next wee while inot petachlent child mode.

I've read one of mine on a train just tried to keep the cover hidden but not in brown paper. I figured so many people have issues and it doesn't even need to be me, could be for a friend! Apart from that 95% I read them at home. Not very brave really.

Right, I fell off the wagon big time last night. Had the one, turned into a messy evening. Sorry. Will clean the back of the wagon later when I can move my head safely.

One more wobble in the road. And so much for controlled drinking for me, at least last night. Maybe I just have to give up. Will see and think more.

The books said lapses are part of the cycle.

Ow my head hurts. Bad plan that whole drinking thing. Bad Bad.

    Morning
The bells were tinkling around BB launch time. Lots of munching occured, got through it, with my newly rekindled love for Robinsons lemon barley water ! Brings back memories of Summer in the the 70's...sigh, David Cassidy, Bay City Rollers, real Wimbledon finals, chipsticks...

    So 4/30 complete.

    Have a good day all.

One more wobble in the road

I've had a word with highways and they've assured me that they are building a new smooth wagon track so it no longer wobbles :D

    Morning Lurks :D

DC, that's funny cos last night I bought some lime cordial in Tesco, admittedly I was very hungry and very thirsty and was chucking all manner of things in the trolley but I saw the lime cordial and it brought back memories of being looked after after school by a neighbour, she always used to give me the lime cordial. Not even sure if I like it, but bought it cos I could :o

Day 5 is here, it's certainly easier having a 'reason' to quit, I'm a bit worried now about when he sends me for another blood test in a few weeks and the score on my liver has come right back down to normal (providing it does!) and then things might be harder. Pleased I've quit now as OH is going to Glastonbury in 3 weeks, can you imagine, me, home alone, for 5 days

Gotta go work now, speak to you all later

    xx

WBF....Take some tablets and jump straight back onto the wagon....Seems a lot of people are realizing that its not so easy to control this drinking lark and really need to stop completetly.Good luck if you decide to try and abstain.

Well done Lurky and Different Corner ...four days in a row is brilliant.

Jo....Maybe by the time you have to have your next test you will be more relaxed about giving up and wont find it so hard to carry on.Well done and good luck.

Hope you all have a good day

Ohhhhh WBF what a shame. Maybe you will get to the bit where you ave to give up all together. Who knows? Good luck for the weekend though. Don't feel disheartened, it's a new day and a new start. Rotten feeling though isnt it?

I havent had a drink for 40 odd days now and woke up feeling stiff this morning. You know what i thought to myself? I'll go downstairs and have a couple of tablets with some wine, that will loosen me up. MADDDNNEEESSSSSS.
I haven't done but fancy having that thought before i was even properly awake.

Day 5 of June today. My bro is round tonight cos my husband is cooking a Thai meal for us. Husband and Bro dont drink but S I L. It's funny how that doesn't bother me. I just want my own, not hers. Not envious of her drinking, i feel that has nothing to do with me.

Just glanced up and saw molly's signature.....So true, so very true. Onwards and upwards hey?

Sorry for the rambling. I just read back and it makes no sense but hopefully someone will know what i mean.

    Later Gators x
