I just took my kudzu as I was just looking longingly at the cider advert that was just on. I really notice it working for me anyway, the problem is I don't take it if I want to drink alcohol that day. I take a B-compex vit everyday so my wee is yellow too.:p

    Hi All

Not feeling great this afternoon. I am suffering from the dreaded PMT. I get for 1 day every month and all the world turns to gloom and doom and I worry about everything . It only lasts a day and then I am fine. Knowing this does not really make me feel any better at the moment . Normally I would drink some wine which of course just makes me feel even worse. I really want one now but as my DH as just made a nice cuppa I'll just settle for that .

The woman's FA cup final has just been on. DH said " I would not want to be referee when they have all got PMT"

Have a great day everyone. I will be in a better mood tomorrow.

    40SM

PS I am sick of ginger & lemongrass cordial :rotfl:

I've got to toddle off to Mr T's in a minute, alone  beer bells are aclanging already, especially as I'm used to Monday's routine, drinking whilst corrie is on, still drinking whilst Enders is on then falling asleep through 2nd corrie

Must be focused, wished I didn't have to leave the house today :(

ETA: roll on tomorrow 40SM, hope the rest of the day isn't too bad for you (((hugs))) x

I cant find any up-to-date research on Kudzu, can anyone?
Given that I have given up drink I am thinking that from tomorrow I will give up food. I am thinking i will do the Cambridge diet. I bought it a while ago but the alcohol has been the downfall of me each time. I drink and think I am gorgeous and don't need to diet!!!!!! Mad but true.
I will be working a lot this week so will just have access to food in the evening. If I can stay AF i should be able to focus on the "not eating".

Any thoughts? I would be grateful for any advice.

Hi all- only gone for a couple of days and theres 7 pages to catch up on! thank you so much HS for scoring last month and BB for this month.

Jo-Jo- sounds like you've had a rough time, the sort of experiences which can tip people over the edge and drink heavily- you've had some quite traumatic experiences, have you ever heard of post traumatic stress disorder? It happened to me when my mum died, didn't kick in or get a diagnosis for 2 years but drank heavily, didn't sleep, night sweats, panic attacks, depression- god it was horrible, get some help, and take care.

Kellylea- hugs to you too.Well done for thinking hard about the impact of your drinking, you sound quite depressed though, maybe have a chat with your health visitor/GP and see what they think? Looking after little ones is never easy at the best of times, take care.

    Hello Scotsmans- welcome.

Jo hope the vit b/kudzu combination helps, I'm dreadful I'll take anything anyone suggests if it can help me stop being an alcoholic- I don't want to be, and won't be one anymore.

hi all...a few days away and you change address!

hope you've had an OK-ish BHols...funny that some folks talk about the sunny weather making them want to drink more...I used to actually find it easier in the summer because the heat usually put me off and the idea of sitting outside a pub for the afternoon used to really irritate me.
That said - we all have the things that spark us off...had a few closer moments over the weekend when I came up against one of those rare situations where I'd always had a drink previously....and wasn't tempted..just amused that a lot of other people were doing it and seemed to need the loo far more than normal.....

    onwards and upwards...take care all....
For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 2007

Annie, I have great reservations about the Cambridge Diet. I lost 4 stone about 7 years ago, took a year and I did it with weightwatchers, it was gradual and I think that's what's helped me keep the weight off, plus I'm more aware of what foods are good and not so good. Although I've not been to a meeting for 7 years I can still remember how many points are in what.

I have a colleague, friend and an ex-colleague that are doing/have done the CD and the first two lost a tremendous amount of weight (too much in my opinion), my friend went from a size 24 and has just got to a size 10, her face doesn't look right iykwim, far too much loss. The one that's doing it now is obviously losing weight, I mean she's there every day and everyone is commenting on her weight loss which is a great boost for her, but usually you only notice weight loss if you don't see someone for a few months/years. Problem with it is, you just drink stuff, when you re-introduce food your body has to deal with it in a different way and it's easy to put the weight back on, this is all in my own humble opinion of course, it works great for some. Just don't go overboard with it, be careful when you've finished the diet and keep eating healthily within reason and keep up excerise.

    Lecture over...
