Morning All, Sorry to hear you are under the weather 40SM.... and yes too much information ..... I've only just had my breakfast.:D

Late start again this morning, and have a headache again . Must have been the chemicals in the Shandy ?? Not used to all these E-numbers :rotfl:

Glad to have you back SEA, good luck on your return to work next week. I'm sure it won't be as bad as what your are fearing. The 'thought' is always worse than the 'actual'.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday. We had a nice day all in all. We had to suffer my parents first, but it got better after that :rotfl:. We went into the Norfolk Broads for a wander about. We live on the edge of the broads but its nice to go and have a wander around places you've not seen before. My beef casserole went down nicely :D, though the lemon pie was just too much after the first half :o.

Last day of before normality returns again next week ....... well, I say normality

    Have a great day everyone

    Andy Hillbilly Fudd

    Morning all :)

Busy day ahead so no time for the personals I'd planned...

40SM, so sorry to hear you're not well :( hope you are both better soon, lots of fluids. Know what you mean about your OH, mine is the same ;)

Elmer, glad you had a nice birthday hunny x

Off to the farm today, thought I'd have a quiet hour or two before we go but no. OH forgot something he needed for work and I had to find it so he could come back and grab and run. Then less than a minute later DD1 rang and said she'd forgotten the CD she'd made last night which she needed 'now' because the techy guy had just turned up at school and needed to edit it (it's her final drama a-level exam today!). There's me and the youngest two in our pajamas :o so I said she'd have to wait till I got us all dressed and jump in the car, then I heard the teacher say we need it now I'll drop you  so I frantically got dressed before they turned up enmasse to collect said CD. Then the garden men came and took my garden rubbish and chucked 12 split bags all over the neighbours garden so had to clear that up before they noticed. And we've got to be over the farm to meet DS's friend (which is luckily only 10 minutes drive away) at 11am and the kids aren't dressed yet

    So really, really gotta go!!!

Speak to you all later, gonna be a hot one, don't forget the sun protection

    xx

Oh, also wanted to say

I woke up this morning feeling utter carp, sore throat first of all, then hurting everywhere (thanks to the garden) and general yuck-ness....first emotion was anger and upset because I'd had so much to drink last night that I'd done it to myself again :( then I realised I hadn't drunk but was just feeling crap because I was feeling crap not because it was self-induced :j

This happened to someone else on here this week didn't it? Can't remember who is was now. But the relief of knowing I didn't drink was immense :)

    Really, got to go now!!

    Morning all.

Lots of good posts over the last couple of days.

Re the not drinking at parties....it does get easier although I do tend to want to go home earlier but that is because drunken people GET ON MY NERVES!!!!!:D
I was at a family 'do' a couple of months ago and my sister came and sat next to me for a chat (she lives away so we dont see each other very much). She rambled on for half an hour and I could hardly understand her.She really thought she was being funny but she was not the sister I know when sober. She was so loud I was embarrassed for her and she looked 10 years older than me and very bloated.(she is a lot smaller and and 8 years younger!!!!!)Before I stopped drinking I would have joined in with the loudness and nonsense not realizing how bad we were.

I know I was like this before I stopped drinking.
I wont be like that again.

The sun is shining today ....and I have to do a full time shift...PAH
    Have a lovely day everyone
    Love Mollypollyxxxx

    Morning all.
Rather surprised to see a post from myself so late last night which says it all really :o oooooooooooops. It didn't even sound drunk. Ironically it was about functioning alcoholic......quod erat demonstrandum (bet you didn't know I speak French).

Jo it makes me laugh that you do such long posts when you're in a rush to go out! You are doing BRILL on the AF front :T

Annie hope your day isn't as bad as you're dreading.

40sm keep away! hope you feel better very soon.

    Fluffy hope you're OK.

Can't wait to get out of office into sun today. I'm afraid you will be deprived of my wit & repartee for the weekend as away from a PC from 1pm today ......I'll see you Monday morning for a bright new shiny month which WILL BE AF-ER THAN THIS ONE. (Budgie - 4 days, guess that's the booby prize for me then).

I'll have a bright new shiny house too 'cos it's being painted over the weekend!

I emptied my recycling box this morning (ouch) as a phsycological nudge for next week.....my aim is to KEEP IT EMPTY. I don't want to see all those empties until next Friday every time I put something "innocent" in there. Don't care how much I have elsewhere (so there!), it's the usual at-home-on-my-own problem again.

Hope you all have a fab time & end the month as you would wish to
