Morning all, what fabulous work vikkii and danemi real quality jobs there. :T :T
I treated myself to a roll of the green spotty paper from B&Q las week and promptly ruined the tray I was doing.....should have re read the thread and spotted the glue waiting advice!! :rotfl:Still, Ill know now for when I use it to cover the back panel of the dresser I'm still to work on.

Used my nectar points to get my first tin of Farrow & Ball :D:D. Going to do the dresser in this. I got Dimity as I liked it on the colour chart and it seemed popular with you lot.

Keep up the good work all. TTFN x

How rude of me, I've just remembered that I didn't comment on vicki's bits or the candle sticks. Like them all though :D.
Anyway, onto more important stuff (me)! LOOK WHAT I WON!!!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Old-wooden-chest-drawers-dressing-table-mirror-/300459638456?pt=UK_Bedroom_Furniture I'm not sure when I can collect it but I hope it's before the weather breaks. I need to strip off all the old discoloured varnish that's on there and then I'll wax it or oil it. I can't believe I got it for £50! I suppose it's because she'd already started stripping it and it's not that well described. I have my fingers firmly crossed for this one though :)
I have also just bid on a chair for DS's bedroom and hope to win that one.
After my night shift tonight I'm going booting tomorrow. I'm off to a little one on my way home from work and then off with the family to a biggy. I will be on the look out for kitchen shelves, a dresser, a bookcase and a spice rack (wall mountable). If I see any mirrors that I'm unable to live without then I will have to get them too.
My neighbour was showing me her mirrors yesterday from her MIL, fabulous! I showed her bibbity's mirror wall and she agrees that I NEED that (including table) in my house and that if my DH won't do it then I can flutter eyelashes at her DH to drill some holes. He he! TBH I could drill the hallway holes but not the ones in the kitchen. I have 18" thick solid stone walls and am just not beefy enough to drill into them. I would probably wreck the plaster :(

Hi everyone loving the piccies, lots of inspiration!
I have bought my first tin of F&B, in Wimborne White, very excited and started to paint a chair I had reupholstered. I first painted 2 coats of Dulux base, then 1 of F&B. Hard to tell what is base and what is F&B as both white...
Might need another coat tomorrow, it hasn't come out as smooth as I was hoping, even though I used a good brush. If it ends up not looking good, MrEL will say 'told you so, it looked better the way it was with no paint'!
Can I sand it slightly then apply another coat?
    Help!

No help, I'm afraid EL, but I'm sure some of the more experienced folks on here with have some painting advice.
