    Ladies, I was in shabby chic heaven yesterday in TK Maxx!!!! I got the following:

    Le Creuset cream (almond?) mini casserole pot (they only had one but I am patient and will buy them one at a time till I have a set) - £3.99
    Shabby chic cream round cutlery drainer with wooden handle - too cute for cutery so I am using it for pretty odds and ends on dressing table - £2.99
    Kilner clear preserving jar - £2.99
    Cream ceramic coffee jar - £1
    Dark brown rectangular basket with lid (about 60x40x40cm) - £10 (reduced from £25)

    Hello - I have a wooden dresser that I want to update - have stripped off all the disgusting varnish but want to paint the shelves cream - what would you recommend to prime it with?
    I have some Farrow and Ball paint to finish it with
    Thanx in advance for any guidance

    I've painted the F&B oil emulsion straight onto the stripped wood & it's still going strong.
    OH likes to use cheapo own brand primer, but I'm too impatient :o I can't tell the difference either!

    Probably - best to do pick-up only though, as delivery would be quite steep!!!

    I am on a shabby chic roll atm ladies!!! Got a gorgeous laundry basket in TKM yesterday (cream with beige linen overlay and cute buttons around it) for £11 reduced from £25 wahoo!!!
