Very pretty blind Vicki. You put most of us to shame. I think the blind is great as it is.0

oh vicki that blind is gorgeous. well done.
how about sewing some little beads along the bottom, is that what you mean by trim's. i have often in the past fiddled with voiles by adding rows of hanging beads along the edge. can really make a huge difference by something so simple.0 -
Wow everybody you're makes are great :T
Love the shed bet it looks amazing with the jasmine growing up it.
Eagerlearner what a transformation of your kitchen, it makes it look light and airy.
The sideboard is brilliant. When you see it before, and so dark, the transformation its hard to believe that it can
be made into something lovely. And that blue chair is yummy. Can't believe that you got it at such a low price.
Isn't it great what a pot of paint can do :j0 -
This is a painting of Piglet that was on a cupboard door in our old house. Couldn't leave him behind could I0

Thanks girls, I'm pretty pleased with myself these last few weeks. My laundry and veggies are suffering for it though, anybody want some supersized courgettes?
Danemi - Sounds like a lovely few days away, I just booked our ferry crossing to France this week so am getting all excited about the "break" although I suspect it will be just as exhausting as being at home!
Jcr - Yes I was playing with ribbon and lace layered up but I am thinking it might be best to leave it until everything else has been done and then I can get a better idea of what will look right.
Pennib - Did you just leave a cupboard without a door on then? lol!
I popped into the market today and bought some wadding for my seat pads. I've decided that a ticking in navy and white will be good but the only one I could find locally was £20 odd quid a metre - eeek! I'm a bit nervous about buying on ebay as I like to have a little feel first IYKWIM. They had a cream and navy one in Franklins at about £8 which wasn't too bad but it just wasn't right with the other colours. If anyone happens upon any please let me know.0 -
xxvickiexx The blue ticking sounds nice, know what you mean about touching the material
to see what it feels like. We don't have much of a choice here so have to rely on ebay and hold my breath!
Lovely blind by the way.
Just got back from our hols and was glad to be home the weather was a nightmare (all rain and no sun) good thing I'm a home girl at heart.
The door was a plain old door which I wanted to try some trompe l'oeil on. We lived in an old farmhouse so he fitted right in! We knew when we moved that the next people would be gutting the kitchen, didnt want him in a skip!!0 -
have you got a dunhelm near you hun x0
-
Oh I didn't realise that you painted him! Did you do the ones above the doorway too? You are a great artist.
Danemi - there's one quite close, but I have never been, I'm going quite close tommorow so I could venture in there. I wondered about popping into Ikea too as they have some promising looking stuff on their website.0 -

Look for some antique ticking while you are in France. Street markets, brocantes and vide greniers usually have it. I used to buy a lot and navy and white is one of the colours which you should find.0
