Hi I love reading this thread and seeing what you're all getting up to. I thought that you might be interested in a place called Refunk my Junk in Newcastle (they have an ebay shop) The owner was on local radio yesterday. They'll pick up old furniture or accept donations then they 'do them up' for resale. They even have a spray booth which is available for rental at certain times. Saves landfill and produces loads more goodies! They post things on their website before they get put on ebay if you are interested:)
The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Hart I think the coasters are lovely. Such vision as well to be able to see coat hangers out of a bit of off cut.
Agatha, that material reminds me a little of summer palace wallpaper in Laura Ashley, they are lovely
It is very similar. DD has the wallpaper and when we looked online so she could choose the fabric or her bag she chose the similar fabric. Obviously you can see a difference in quality but it is so much cheaper than LA fabric.

    fabulous coasters

love the pe bag - thats really clever - was it hard to do??

The fabric for both bag and cushions is lush - reminds me a little of that paper from laura ashley the blue one with the birds on I dont know the name and cant find it on the site now either - saw it when I was in the shop the other day

Have been and bought some matt varnish today and have tonight given my chair and my shelves a coat of varnish - also whilst in dunhelm mill getting some cleats for my new blinds which hopefully should go up on sunday - yay!!! picked up a couple pf pieces of fabric to recover the dining chair - will have to photo in daylight and put on see what you lovely ladies think - will try to do that tomorrow - I love this thread - and keep logging on just to see what updates there are - yet sometimes during the day it wont let me access it - anyone else have this???

Have a good nights sleep all - will be back tomorrow
    xx
The PE bag was quite easy to do. I did make it harder for myself by lining it in waterproof fabric which is slippery and the bag pattern didn't have instructions for a lining. I used these instructions for the bag. The straps were really long though for my 5 1/2 year old (but fine for an adult) so I had to shorten them.

Does the matt varnish change the look? I think I'm going to need some for my table & chairs.

A few bits I bought this week. Letter rack and mug tree £5.99 and £4.99 TK Maxx and Clock £3.79 Wilkinson.

I know I should have tried the boot sale but I couldn't resist and am in an impatient impulsive mood this week! Plus my new mugs are far to gorgeous to live in the cupboard.

I have just the place for the letter rack in my house. Did they have a few? I could pop into TK Maxx on my way through Chelmsford tomorrow.

Um, I can't remember Shirlgirl, I think so, they had a whole range of things in the same style, I was very, very tempted! Such a shame I didn't have longer to browse, they had some beautiful things.
