Kandipandi - It seems we both blew the budget in Tesco :D

I have the same tins, and im not overly keen on Union Jack but loved these :D To the other poster that asked they are £8 for 2 in Tesco. Also have the napkins, a similar photo frame lol x

I was in The Range last Sunday and bought a very Shabby Chic, cream wrought Iron 2 seater round table and chairs.... it's delicious and then went over to the bargain bay and found 2 pink gingham seat pads, it looks fab it my tiny garden, and adds a lovely touch to such a boring small new build garden. Thumbs up for The Range, they have some lovely Shabby Chic stuff, I also got the white and green "victor Vasier" french style toilet brush holder, soap dish, soap dispenser and cup... Never mind ebay, I need to be banned from The Range on a Sunday!!!
Oh I almost forgot, I got a fantastic cool bag in the design of a vintage picnic basket, its delightful and was only a tenner, will post a pic tomorrow, I was so excited when I saw it and was ready to scratch anyones eyes out who tried to get the last one Hahaha!!

i dont know if they are all over the country or just up north, but I was in The Range today and they have some lovely little bits in the SC style. picked up a few seaside bits for the bathroom, and a lovely retro sign for the kitchen. lots of hearts and lanterns in cream, not bad priced either.

You be as grumpy as you like Bibbity, there is nothing worse than getting your hopes up and having them dashed. I was in the same position before Christmas. Found my flat then was told they wouldnt let me register as I hadnt agreed a sale on my house. Agreed a sale on my house only to be told the one I wanted had gone. Then another one came up so I registered for that. Two weeks before completion the mortgage company decided to down value the flat and wouldnt give me enough of a mortgage to make up the difference in my deposit (credit cards duly maxed hence me finding MSE) but I finally got the flat. There is a positive in every negative without that happening I wouldnt have come on MSE, found Shabby Chic and have my passion reignited by you lovely people and be inspired by your blog. Things will turn out in the end.

Kandi, what fantastic buys. Are they all from Tescos? I am currently bidding on some kimono fabric on ebay which is divine. Not really shabby chic but I have decided that I want to resurrect my hobby of making my own designer cushions so if I win the fabric I will get started on that. Now I just need to find a cheap sewing machine having given mine to a friend during my deepest depressed days.

    I like this idea!
And including members blogs so they can be easily found??

Maybe we need a new thread? This ones pretty full now.

    :T

Unfortunately, links to members' blogs are actually against site rules. :)

To Gingababe who asked about priming the wood after it had been stripped....there shouldn't be any need. When I use nitromors I just sand the wood lightly to key the surface and never prime anything. If you're worried about wear and tear you can apply some clear varnish to the finished paintwork.

Kandipandi, your postcards reminded me of a mug I saw the other day in TKmaxx. It was white with the same logo and all the text was royal blue only it read: "OK, Panic now" or words to that effect. I would like a pinny with the slogan on it!
