I love looking at everyones pictures, thank you all for posting them! My taste is somewhere between shabby chic, cottagey and 50s retro if that makes sense. I work on the basis that, if I love it, it finds a place. My OH despairs of me sometimes but he always admits that, while he may not see the bigger picture until it's all finished it always looks nice so he pretty much leaves me to it.

I like to make a lot of my own things as I sew, knit and have just learnt to crochet. One day I will actually take some pictures to post!

Went wayyyy off track there, but I just wanted to say thank you for the pictures and keep 'em coming!

Found a picture! This is my shed, it may not be the definition of shabby chic, but I love my shed!!!

I guess it could be shabby chic as I'm going to make some little curtains for the window so that I can stop the sun going right in in the summer and taking the internal temp to boiling point! I've painted the inside cream :o

Thank you for the lovely comments! It's so fab how friendly this thread is.
Princess Vikki,I used pva glue mixed with a little water and put it on the wood then started papering. It was wrinkly at first but these dried out thankfully.I was planning to use a clear water based varnish over the top to 'seal' it.But I'm not sure if this is best as it's for the bathroom,so need to protect it.Someone I know suggested yacht varnish as it's waterproof???!Bit of a debate going on.lo

ps pollyskettle your shed is scrummy and utterly gorgeous!l

I have a "new" sewing machine which my mum picked up for me at the weekend- its not new its off good old ebay a Jones/Brother make, got it for £30- bargain! Cant wait to start to use it, my first project is tracking down some cheap oilcloth to make into an oblong shaped tablecloth for my table outside (and possibly some matching cushions- obviously not in oilcloth lol).

Does anyone know any sites that do Cath kidston style olicloth (without the price tag?)
