I understand that Madasafish make 8mb connections available if that's what the exchange/line can stand, otherwise it provides the fastest speed available (for myself, 2mb at present).
In the case of BT's wholesale upgrade of broadband speed capabilities in the coming weeks and months, will that mean that should we start off on 2mb and our system is upgraded, we'll later be given 8mb automatically? :wave:0 -
Hello Quizbuff,
The short answer to your query is 'yes'!
All of our MAX customers will be upgraded to 8Mb free of charge when their exchange becomes enabled.
If you sign up today and your MAX speed is 2Mb you'll be upgraded to 8Mb automatically when it becomes available at your exchange.
When we get information that an upgrade is going to happen at an exchange we email all the MAX Broadband customers at that exchange to let them know. There is no action that you, as a customer, will need to take. We'll take care of everything.
Kind regards,
Samara

Thank you for your help, I did email customer service stating the line is with onetel and was told that you must have a BT line, so was confused.
Samara also could you tell me if I wanted wireless router, since I won't take the modem or other router will Madasafish offer the wireless router cheaper?

Hi Samara
I'm slowly but surely getting there. I could not use the post office for my home phone as am not an existing BT customer. Have got a line sorted with BT today that is now active and tried to register via the moneysaving link but with no joy. It says my phone number is not recognised and nor is the promotional code. How long will it take for my number to come on to your records and why is the code not working?
Many thanks in advance. And if, you know, your history...0 -
Hello Dixie Dean,
It sounds like BT needs to update their records regarding the status of your phone line. From the time that your phone line goes live, it should take for them about 24 hours to update their records. Prior to then, you will experience difficulty signing up for broadband.
The promotional code is still active and when you try again when BT have updated their records, I don't believe that you'll receive the error message.
Kind regards,
Samara

I must say I am very imressed so far. Lost my bt line for a while today, not sure if this was due to bt or madasafish but it was restored within 30min.

Well its only Wednesday and i'm all broadbanded up. Had a few problems with initial connection but phoned CS who passed me to technical support. The problem was at my end with the microfilters and DSL connectivity. Within 20 min I was up and running. Would recomend MAAF to anyone, I just need to get a wireless router and I'm away.......0 -
Hi Samara
Still no joy. The website is still not accepting my phone number. Is there anything I can do about this because I am keen to get it sorted within the special offer period (the end of this month).
CheersAnd if, you know, your history...0
