lol, I'm terrfied of telling MIL! she's perfectly nice, but very excitable and a horrid gossip. I'm a very low-key person, so I know she'll shriek and cry when we tell them (this will be 1st grandchild in the family) and then not shut up about it for the remaining 6 months or whatever. Hubby has promised to try and keep her from asking too many q's every time she calls, but I know it'll annoy me towards the end.

We almost didn't tell them! We told them at 14 weeks - they drive me nuts! Everytime we go somewhere they buy an outfit - they spend more on 1 outfit than I do on 5!!!
I ask them not to buy things, they buy them anyway!

So far, they have bought cot and highchair and loadsa little bits like Johnsons stuff and clothes. They also have a Baby Fund of their own!

I feel bad on OH as my parents just don't spend like his do. I try and explain this to them but they don't listen!

Wow! 3 births to catch up on!

Congrats to Kathy, vanilla & shellsuit!!:T:T:T

Shell - Dylan is my OH's name - unfortunately his middle name is Brian! As he is a child of the 1970s you can imagine how much he got picked on :rotfl::rotfl:

Can't believe I'm so close to top of list now :) Still expecting bub to arrive late though :( - my guess is 23rd May.

Much love and hugs to all who want/ need it!

OMG - I just clicked on the thread and it said I was BANNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NMS - I plan to get that monitor as well. So ear temp will save on getting an Egg!!

    Banned!!! OMG!

Oh, and that was my thinking too! Apparently it takes the temp at 9 different point and you can look back as see if it varies...or something cos I was really listening to OH :o

Your family's like mine then Glam... Hubby's Step Mum asked us yesterday if there was anything we wanted them to buy for the baby or would money be better... I told her if we make it to the baby show at the weekend we'd happily take some of their money with us... I've told Hubby not to expect anything from my lot... They just don't get excited... Bar a new outfit or something...

And MIL rang hubby in March to see if she was a grandmother yet... We haven't heard from her again yet... But Hubby recons she'll come rushing over as soon as he rings and tells her it's been born... She can rush where she likes but the womans not stepping foot in my house!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You'd think that the stress recently (have discovered more, but detail is just too icky to contemplate telling anyone) and the decorating I've been doing might have brought something on - but NO! Pah!!!:p

    Afternoon all :D

Sorry I've been missing for a while but I've been trying to catch up on all the things that I keep putting off.

I'm not going to even attempt to catch up as not only have you started a new thread but your 90 pages in  So if someone could give me a brief summary of anything important I've missed that would be fab :T

As for me I've managed to get most of the stuff I wanted to get done, done.
    • Nursery is now set up and all we need to do is get some pictures for the walls.
    • Finished most of the baby shopping just some small things to get now. Question - How many babygrows, vests, sheets & blankets am I going to need?
    • Office move (to make room for the nursery) is complete and the dreaded filing is done :D
    • House is starting to re take some order as well so feeling a lot better
Still have a mountain of stuff to get listed on ebay and freecycle but we've made a really good start.

In terms of preg news - All fine, BP is down a bit so they've stopped worrying so much. I've got another scan in 2 weeks so we'll see what they say then.

Also we've started our NCT classes, they're ok but the leader is a little to wishy washy for my liking and I've already mentioned several times that some of the info she's giving out is incorrect so I don't think she likes me that much :o

Finally I received my health in pregnancy grant this morning so that's another £190 to add to the baby fund.

    Hope everyone is keeping well?
