.. Just had beef as well - elle! It was very nice - never cooked Brisket before.
Fell asleep straight after it so have indigestion now and just went for a poo and it was so big it made my bum bleed :o

Glad I'd finished eating before I read that.. :p

No idea what cut ours was - it was a random joint Mum found in the bottom of the chest freezer! Normally Dad does the shopping on Saturday morning but Mum thought she'd do him a favour and do the shopping on Friday instead. She came home, boasting about all the yummy things she'd bought - every sentence started with "Oh, and I got.." - then when Dad asked what she'd got for Sunday lunch (always a roast) she went quiet cos she'd completely forgotten to get most "proper" food! :rotfl:

    sorry elle :o
I normally get topside or sliverside when it's on offer. I cut it into 3 and freeze it so a £12 joint does 3 meals! Very MSE :money:
Though this maybe something that goes once baby comes along!

MIL got the brisket - it looked awful but tasted delish and the gravy from it was beautiful :p. Trick is to cook it long and slooooooooooooooooooow

OMG I am 10th on the list!! I can remember being at the bottom!

    Congratulations Shell!

Hope every one has had a good weekend. :D

We have constructed our cot... to discover we are missing 2 fixtures. Well it was second hand. So have emailed the original company to see if they will let us have the fixtures.
When we put Aimee's cotbed together, one of the brackets that holds the base in place was missing and one broke the weld as we screwed it on... I emailed the company and about 2 weeks later the fixings just turned up in the post... All the way from Denmark!

I am so sick of feeling like I'm about to come on... And I've had branston pickles constantly all day... It's really starting to get on my wick now... <sigh>

Searching, just ring them up and ask them to end your claim as of that day. They then should write to you about your change in circumstances and a new form to complete... Then about a month later you get the council tax bill...

I think it's that everyone gets CTC (basic is about £50 a month for the first year then £10 a month from then on), and you get WTC if your family income is below a certain level..

This happened to ours too, and ours was second hand!

Also, our crib's a rounded one and the sheets are a custom size. My mother was in charge of them, and she emailed the company asking for a pattern (claiming that our child needed hypoallergenic sheets). They sent her two 400 thread count sheets to take apart and practice with!

This baby might only have two sheets when she's born, but they're nicer than the ones we have on our bed!

I've just finished the leftover pasta with mushroom sauce from last night. It was just as goooood. Next I will unload the tumble dryer and move the clothes from the washing machine into it. I will then do the dishes. I bought a 99p wine rack and a 99p baby bouncer on ebay today, both within a couple of miles of my mother so she'll pick them up. I get boxes shipped over here fairly often, it's 20 quid for up to 25kg, and I've a box of stuff from Past Times, some nursing bras and nursing vests and this stuff to go into one. Any leftover space will be filled with a Tesco run. We need bagels! It's almost impossible to find them in Germany for obvious reasons and we miss them!
