Hehe it's a whole weekend list today:

    [STRIKE]Mail hotel letters[/STRIKE]
Living room (out of bounds for me now so probably won't get done)
Clear out pantry of deceased food, rebuild shelves (and find where the bugs are coming from. We will win the war!)
    Clear out fridge
[STRIKE]Pack box to mail to UK - include thank you notes because Germany says the envelopes are too small and wants to charge us €3 each one[/STRIKE]
    Organise mailing it
    Finish the sock monkey
    [STRIKE]
Look at stuff in freezer - possible to bulk cook and batch freeze for post birth instant good food?
    Fill out new passport form
    Wine rack
    [/STRIKE]

And we went on a lovely walk around the city. I'm exhausted now though.

Edit: my high bejewelled score is 75400. I suck.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but came across this website on another MSE thread:
    http://www.biglittletrading.co.uk

It does second hand maternity and baby clothes. An alternative to Ebay maybe?

You'll notice that the list now has more stuff crossed off it, and that remaining are the sock monkey (me) and a bunch of other stuff (him). He's currently making dinner while I sit here being utterly miserable. Part of it's probably hormones and I'm probably being oversensitive, but I'm really upset and angry.

There is a local message board for English-speaking foreigners in Germany that my OH and I both use. It's heavily moderated because debates can get quite heated. Last night Himself was talking with some people on it about when life begins. We both take the scientific/legal perspective that says that a viable foetus can't have rights under the law till it's out and breathing for logistic reasons, and since we don't and can't know when life actually does begin the logical thing to do is to use the legal definition for "life" and not attach emotions to blastocysts - as hard as it might be.

Someone started arguing with him and ended up by wishing a damaged foetus on us so we'd have to make the choice of what to do. And the moderators, who were busy moderating all around the place, let it sit there after I complained until three other people complained this morning. It's a community of people who know each other, and so everyone knows I'm pregnant, and yet people I thought were my friends were quite happy to let comments like that sit there for hours.

I'm surprised how much it affected me - normally I'm a person who believes the internet is just pixels on a screen and the people who make the mean words on it aren't quite as real as me so if they're mean they can't be affected. (Nice people are as real as I am, of course).

So I'm upset. That was a long tale. But I can't believe first that the guy would say something like that (what makes it worse is that he's quite a lonely unpopular guy, and my OH is forever coming to his defence when people slag him off) and second that people like my friend Sara would just ignore it, while removing the F word wherever it turns up.

    Hello!

Just a very big quicky as I hate posting when I haven't caught up and have over a weeks worth of your chit chat to catch up on!

Had the twin babes 4pm on Saturday 2nd May (week old already!). William was born first at 6lb followed a minute later by Lewis weighing 6lb 1oz. Twins all fine but I was kept in hospital until Thursday night due to blood pressure.

Will be posting pics and birth story as soon as I have caught up!

    Love to all!

I think anyone who gets this sort of response needs to ask further questions..
    Such as WHY??
I can't help thinking that these MW haven't got a clue what RLT actually does - it does NOT bring on labour!!!

    .

Actually I did! :D She said as it loosens it all up down there (She used far more technical terms than that of course, but my brain is mushy today!) It wasn't wise to start it too early . She is a very experienced midwife and seemed quite informed about RLT tbh. I did wonder whether this recommendation was for my particular "health" circumstances, or whether it was a general "rule" for everyone, I will ask next time I see her.
I think I will wait 'till 35 weeks or so and than start taking it.

thats not a very nice thing to say to anyone.
not nice of your friends though toallow him to get away with it.
worst thing with forums sometimes, people will say what they want thay they would never actualy say to you in person.

hope you feel a better soon.
nice OH for looking after and caring for you
