Fitzio - that is exactly why we are doing our nursery so early!
We've picked up so many bargains that our bedroom and the conservatory has been taken over with baby things - I want it all put away nicely ready for when baby comes.

I had to tell my Mum that I couldn't cope with 8 people in the house next weekend so would she mind reverting back to the Travelodge? I wouldn't mind if it was the 6 of us as we could just manage but she's bringing 2 foster kids and I have no room for them.

Mum said she couldn't afford it so my brother and step-dad will come on their own for the match - not being funny but why should I have people sleeping in my conservatory, on the floor in the spare room and all sharing one small bathroom?!!!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Sami, it's only just dawned on me that your wedding day was exactly 2 days before mine! we're not doing anything for the 1st ann. this year, as we'll be going to Prague at the end of the month. You guys get a cool baby-present though! :D

Sami, my German's passable, but there's so much specialised vocabulary involved in pregnancy and birth that I'd prefer not to run the risk of making mistakes or forgetting what the word I mean is.

You may well be lucky though Sugar and find that the medical staff speak good english. I ended up in a german hospital 25 years ago on a school exchange visit with only A level standard german, and had no problems at all with understanding what was wrong with me, and what they planned to do, as the doctors and nurses all had good english and good medical english too. We only need to resort to a german/english dictionary once for "urethera", and at that point I didn't know what that meant in english either!

I've spent the morning in bed, after getting the kids off to school, as I was so shattered last night I could barely function. Still stayed up to 11pm though to see Mr C on ER :D. Since lunchtime I've managed to tidy and clean one half of the living room, and the other half is looking reproachfully at me... Best get on and try to finish before the kids get home from school and transform it back into its usual dreadful state!

Umm, think I might have a look at those links but I'm leaning towards just sticking with the NHS ones and spending the money on Noogle. With two sisters due just before me, you lot and the Internet I'm sure I can learn all I need. ;)

efrieze my hospital is in a different borough in London from the one I live in and only 3 miles from where I live - strange coincidence!

I thought it was you Krystal (maybe just looking at it, but not bought yet?). Well, the wardrobe was from Ikea and it's got drawers at the bottom as we wanted to try and save space. It's not the cheapest, but it's much better quality and really sturdy. I want it for our room!

Molly - have the doughnut for lunchtime dessert. I bought Toffee Crisp cookies to take in for my team at work, but I am off sick, so going to have to eat them myself!!! I will be massive my the time I give birth!

    Glam you're not running a B&B are you :p
We couldn't possibly fit that many people in anyway, if all rooms were complete we could have 2 peeps in the spare/nursery and one on the sofa and thats it :p

aless - I take it u got wed on a saturday then? (I think skinty and 1 other member here shared ur day too) for me it was all about the date as 5th was my Gt Grandma's birthday which is why I just think it would be extra special if bubba arrived that day too :D

Fitzio, yeah I think I pointed you in the direction of the wardrobe with the drawers in the bottom... We just haven't gotten round to buying ours yet... Other things just keep cropping up!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sami - yup, it was the Saturday! we picked it because in US format, the date was 06/07/08 :P. Since it's your g.gran's birthday, I'll bet your bub comes that day!!! seems like it's meant to be!
