Enjoy your hols!! Am quite jealous now. I'm hoping that June's a scorcher so that I can have a nice holiday here in the UK!!

 to your MIL. Just ignore her - your baby will probably be late anyway

I'm sure it will but if baby comes while they're away at least I'll have some peace. I think that's what OH said to her!:rotfl::rotfl:How's that for being on my side!

Just joined Bejewelled on Facebook. If anyone has any XBox, I'm sure this game is on there, too.

Does this pregnancy thread have a Facebook page I could join?

I went to the Easrly Pregnancy evening at my hospital on Wed and I got loads of info on where my local baby and toddler groups are, as I'm eager to make new friends, too.

I'm booked in for NHS antenatal classes (5 classes at 2 hours each I think) but do you think as a first timer I should be looking for other classes?
It depends how good the NHS class is and if u feel you need it
I personally wouldn't pay for NCT one coz they're over £100 and I just couldn't spend that.

For those who are 'going it alone' Our family is not a very close one so nobody really rushed over when Aimee was born... I was a single parent too so completely alone... I found going to mother and toddler groups early on really helped to meet people... Considering I'd lived in my house 3 years when she was born, I didn't know anyone who lived near by... Now I have 3 or 4 close friends who all live within walking distance... The best groups I found were the breastfeeding one and the cradle club run by the nursery... They had a better class of people going and weren't so 'cliquey' (antenatal classes were crap at meeting people, although I only did the NHS ones both times so can't vouch for the NCT ones)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm only having NHS parentcraft classes - I want to save my money so that I can have more time off with bubba afterwards. If I have any questions, thats what Midwives, Health Visitors and you guys are for......

Bio Oil ordered - said in stock from 10th May 09, is that right?

Why does OH have no battery on his phone when I want to know how he got with his work chat?!!!!1
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I thought this as well. My hospital has 2 x 2.5 hour sesssions and that's it. My midwife told me about a group she runs with 10 x 1 hour sessions but she wanted £210:eek:. Plus, she said they didn't cover anything new there were just less people. I don't really know where else to look?

Sami, my German's passable, but there's so much specialised vocabulary involved in pregnancy and birth that I'd prefer not to run the risk of making mistakes or forgetting what the word I mean is.

OK. Tidying is done (well, not done but I am done with doing it for the moment). Orange juice is drunk. I am now listening to my husband talking to the midwife on the phone - I let him do it because I hate using the phone in Germany, people's voicemails always throw me because I never quite know what to expect. Sock monkey is staring at me blindly yet pleadingly to give him sight and secure his little legs and arms with something more than that nylon invisible thread, which is not properly working.
