constipation is supposed to be v common in pregnancy, but I seem to have the opposite problem!

mrsapple - try prune juice or similar stuff. supposed to work like a charm!

I was in hospital for 5 days after emer.c/sec with DS, I had a smelly, scruffy, thick girl in the next bed. You know the type!

I was listening in to a conversation her consultant was having with her (those curtains are great for privacy!).
Consultant: Now, Miss *****, as this is your 5th c/section, and 6th child, although you're only 22 we'd advise against further pregnancys. We suggest that while we're in there for the section, we could sterilise you then take away some of that excess skin when we stitch you up.
Maybe he was just trying to sweeten the deal? thinking if I give her a bit of a tuck maybe I can finally put an end to her reproducing and therefore be doing my bit for society:D
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

mrsapple, you could try your Dr, they can prescribe something... But I found eating high fibre breakfast and upping my fruit intake helped in the early days...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I have been trying to have some fibre-full cereal for breakfast and eat fruit etc and liquids, but to be fair even doing that I still have constipation and have done since very early (new just over 14 weeks) so expect it to continue for a while yet......

Also thanks to candice and 3onitsway for the posts about UTIs with no symptoms, I will find out tomorrow if I have one of those, yippee! At least the prescription will be free if I need one.
