Jas wants a laptop from santa this year !!!
And although the baby wont need much at all, she will wonder why it doesnt get as much as her, and her present pile might be a bit smaller this year !!!

    what a proper laptop??? ...
i kinda of figure that if i get the things she really wants (a ds and one of those kiddie cameras) she wont focus so much on what she dont have if already started telling her that santa has to share the money for presents between her and her brother now (she dont believe elves makes them as they're in the shop so she think santa gives elves the money to buy them :rotfl:) but she just said mummy as long as santa can get my pink ds im happy :D ... but its paying for the extra one now as you say he wont need much but still its an extra person x

she got her pink DS this year and all of the family got her a game for it !!
We told her that santa is on a budget per family and that we have to leave him some money towards everything so she has to be reasonable in what she asks for !!
She is always on OHs computer and my laptop, and now wants one of her own so that she can play games and watch bbc i player !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she thinks she is 16 not 6 !!!

I was expecting her to ask for a wii, but that hasnt even been mentioned. I guess she gets enough of it at her cousins houses !!

I asked that the other morning but no one answered :(
I was thinking of doing it for the distant rellies and the grandparents who I know will find out by phone anyway but who would like "something to remember the occasion by".. My Grandma made me a "This Is Your Life" style photo album for my 18th and there was one of my birth annoucements in there.

My friend writes little letters from her little boy as thankyou notecards for every birthday and Christmas. Always a little picture of him on the front from the day - wearing a party hat, blowing out candles, opening presents in front of the tree etc. They're lovely - I've kept them all for inspiration :)

    I got these from Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Personalised-Baby-Photo-Thank-You-Cards-Pack-of-10_W0QQitemZ260400840153QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Home_Garden_GreetingCards_ET?hash=item260400840153&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

    - really good quality, and lovely seller.

They were really good for the distant relatives across the country who hadn't seen baby in person -so they got a photo instead!

We got 30 - and still ran out. I wish i'd saved one for a 'this is your life' album - thats a great idea.

Well I have to say that I would be tempted to treat myself !!!
Normally for my birthday, as its in January, new year new me, so I get my hair done, and a manicure and a massage !!! OH normally gives me £30 towards it and I pay the rest, so probable £100 all in anyway !!!!!!!!!!!!

usually OH would take me clothes shopping as we usually get alittle extra from tax creds but none this year and no point going clothes shopping anyway as it'll all be to big (hopefully) in less then 5 weeks ;) .. £100 is so much i always feel guilty spending large amounts of money on myself x

happy mummy = happy baby !!!!
but I know where your coming from, I treat myself on my birthday and then resent every penny I spend on me for the rest of the year, but at least I let myself enjoy that one day !!!
