i will be 7 weeks tomorrow....hes a student at uni in his final year, so pretty stressful time for him anyway, i think he is scared cos hes a few years younger than me (im 26 he's 23) this will be my 2nd pregnancy (had a miscarriage a couple of years ago) and although he knows this he still doesnt want it.

He wants me to be a stay at home mum, ive told him i will have my maternity leave and go back to work, my mum has offered to take care of the baby, even though this will be her 3rd grandchild this year so she will have her hands full, but he didnt want me to tell her (he doesnt know ive told her), so he must have thought i would agree with him, but i dont.

I really have no idea what to do, ive already outgrown 2 pairs of jeans cos they dont feel comfortable, i can easily borrow one of my sisters' maternity clothes cos were the same size, and ill be getting as much as i can off freecycle.

It might sound selfish but i am putting my baby before him, even at the risk of being a single parent, every time i bring it up he changes the subject and he doesnt want me looking up stuff about it on the net, even tho its helping me.

Ah Sparkly. Sorry to hear that. Don't really know what I can add. My baby's daddy doesn't want to know either but since we're not together anymore I decided that I can safely ignore his opinion. I appreciate that might not be an option for you.

Sorry I can't be more help but know that you are not alone and we are all here to help or support in any way we can.

sorry, cross posted. Single mum is not the end of the world if that is the way it happens. You need to do what is best for you. xxx

    OK,
don't think I am sad, but every now and again, I write poetry (not very well I might add !!):rotfl:
Anyway, this is the first one in ages that hubby actually liked and I thought I might let you all read it. But please don't laugh, its only a little hobby !!

    BABY

I think I might be in labor,
And I don't know what to do !
My poo has been all runny
And my pants are all wet too !

I haven't even packed my bag,
But I really must sit down
My hubby will just have to try,
    To find my dressing gown.

    My MW said to breathe
Though all the aches and pains.
But I think I need some drugs
To keep me from going insane!

The ambulance is on its way
I'll be at the hospital soon.
And then the hard work will begin
    In the delivery room.

But it will all be worth it
    The excruciating pain !
The blood loss and the stitches,
Will lead to the best gain !

    A bouncing healthy baby
    To call my very own
    A beautiful addition
    To my humble home
The two best things I have done with my life
