Why dont you go on the talktalk forum. They have techi type talktalk people on there who give you advice word by word :) They are also terrific if you are trying to sort a problem. It is usually sorted immediately if you go on there.

It means that you can get o2 LLU which will be the best option for you. I'd suggest you remove your link now as it appears to give your post code, then go to o2 and check the availability from their website with your land line number and make sure that you can receive o2 LLU. The wireless bit is different from using a wireless router which you will get free from o2.

Are you signed up to Quidco? If so go to Quidco and you will get £70 cashback for signing up to o2 and is payable after 3 months. http://www.quidco.com/o2-home-broadband/

Its £5 a month cheaper if you have an o2 mobile, this can be a PAYG sim and only needs to be topped up by £10 every three months. Have a read of this thread...

any problems post back as their are a number of people who have recently signed for o2 and can recommend it, me included :)

This is the link (hope I've done it right?).

I don't understand all of it. It says no to wireless. Does this mean it's no use me getting a wireless router, or is it for wireless broadband which I think (not sure) means something different?

I'm going to delete this post that I've quoted as it gives your post code and a map showing where the post code is but have quoted the post without the link so my reply makes some sense :D

Thanks for the suggestion hethmar, I will give the TalkTalk forum ago.

Although having just spotted the sticky about micro filters :o , and read it, I think I know what the problem is.

The forum talktalk staff are brilliant, have to say. I was whinging on there about something and I got a message immediately from one of them. 20 minutes later another message that it had all been sorted out for me - and it had.

:TI really appreciate you deleting it for me, I didn't realise and have only just seen your message today.
I'm not with Quidco at the moment but will consider it, of course.

Will post again when I have checked out the O2 website.

Having checked out the O2 website I can't find a broadband and phone package so it looks like Talk Talk will be the cheapest option for me.

Hethmar: I've been on the TalkTalk website and can't see any mention of my getting the broadband free when I put in my postcode. Also looks like I've missed the £50 offer unless it's been extended.

My only concern with TalkTalk is that it is an 18mth contract. If I turned out to be one of the unlucky ones who had problems, would I be able to cancel early without penalties? I've only been able to find charges for cancellation on the website but nothing for reasons for cancelling early?

Also, are there any discounts, cashbacks etc. around at the moment?

    Thanks
