i got phone call 6.30 this evening i have to attend a dhss medical

I phoned DLA today to ask if a decision had been made yet as its up at the end of this month. The problem i have is that my care allowance and mobility allowance are 6 months apart which is a very tricky situation and i know i could lose both. Anyway the very nice man said a decision Had been made today but no information was on screen yet and i should hear in about a week and to phone back on Friday to see if it had been posted. Really worried now. If and when th decision is on screen are they allowed to tell you over the phone which way it has gone or not? does anyone know? TIA

They are not supposed to tell you the decision over the telephone but they do sometimes.

Thanks for the reply Healy, I just phoned again only they are saying that the decision is not on screen or any other information which tell me its been rejected but the letter has been sent out today and i will have it by Friday. Can anyone tell me please what will happen to my motabillity car if they take my DLA off me, how much notice will i have to give the car back? Sorry to post again but i worried sick about all this, its been getting worse since i received the the forms to fill in back in Jan. My sis in law has just asked me if its rejected how will i manage for money? the only option i will have is to file for bankruptcy

they said i have met the threshold and said the next medical is for review 2010 and my benifits will continue the same it made me feel down in one way
as they said i am unfit for work even though some days i feel not bad i have worked hard all my life and continued to work even when i was ill ,and i have ended up on the sick i feel most of it is my own fault as i only started to take anti depressent when i was really ill intstead of taking them straight away when the doc told me to the thing that make me mad is i cant change what has happened everybody says forgot the past and move on but i find it hard and continune repeating myself abount all the stress and phyoctic delusions and depression and getting anxious thanks for all help on forums

Yesterday i was told by the DLA that once a decission has been made and its on the screen they can tell you on the phone. I have been waiting 12 weeks now and still no decission made but i will phone back on monday to see if they have made a decission.

NO mobility!
since i sent in my inc.ben medical report from 1 mth before stating clearly that i cant walk without pain,take max painkillers and i scored max inc.ben points for my lack of mobility in my lower limbs i'm going to appeal!

Get appealing! Make sure you get some help from someone like the CAB - have you contacted them to ask any reasoning they are able to give you?

DLA seems to e cutting everyones rate for some reason. I had my middle rate care cut to low rate care when according to Welfare rights i should be getting high rate as i need help at least 5 times times during the night. The doctor said i only needed help with cooking and cleaning, but what do you expect really from a doctor who only asks 5 question and only one is relevant being what are your disabilities and cannot find his way out of your house when the front door is right in front of him and for some strange reason is convinced hes locked :eek: the door . Good luck with your appeal, i hope it goes easy for you, I have welfare rights fighting mine for me:T .
