I have read so much about IB and the PCA's recently but I have a feeling I read somewhere the name of the computer system they are using for the medicals, think it begins with an L, anyone know what it is?
Also anyone know when they started using this computer system?0 -
Hi,
Think the one you are looking for is Lima - the sytem they use for the medicals:LiMA is the computer software used by the DWP’s Medical Service to produce electronic medical reports for the personal capability assessment.
They started trialling this in 2002 - check out the following website:

the medical i went to he nerver used a computer he looked at the information
on my form i filled in ,and asked me questions from that form0 -
generally if Lima isnt used consider yourself lucky as Lima is designed so it gives less points and seriously is biased against people with undiagnosed conditions.0

I sent my DLA forms back 10 March - DLA lost them then found them- the doc came out 25 May and my DLA runs out 26 June. I haven't heard anything yet and i'm getting really worried now, is this length of time normal? This is the first renewal i've done. The idiot doc who came out to me said they would be writing to my doctor for information which when i saw him on Monday he said they hadn't contacted him but if they do he will phone me and yes he did say they are paying doctors off to not give a good report.0

Hiya, the one I had done was all done on paper, no computer used
Luckily he was very nice, after going through some questions he asked if I would like to do the rest as he knew I would already qualify. He chose not to carry on. Got a letter a few weeks later.
I found the doctor very nice.
I have seen it mentioned on here that people are relieved as letters have stated not due for review until xx or won't have to attend medical. Well tbh thats a lie. I know of 7 people via a support group who have been called for medical in the last 8 weeks who were told they would have to attend one or be reviewed for a certain length of time. They can call up for medical/review at any time, they only need to use the excuse of 'to check if any circumstances/conditions have changed'One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
