Pubs should be required to display their prices clearly and prominently. Generally you don't find out the price until after the drink has been poured and it can be more than you expect.

Mains-power devices should display their power consumption (in KwH) when both on and on standby.

This would encourage energy efficient devices. Moreover standby is often as energy intensive not for technical reasons, but to save manufacturing costs but costs more on an ongoing basis.
  • Back to basics – save up to buy something new
To encourage us to live within our means, all credit facilities should come with a page asking “What savings could you use instead?”, and “How much could you save monthly for this item?” And have a table showing x amount monthly savings equals y amount in 1/3/5 years.

DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998 - AMENDMENT PLEASE !!!!!

To make the advertising of personal Bankruptcy to be an infringement of the disclosure of personal financial data rules.

Creditors should be able to check Insolvency Register ( with authority) or credit search only.

Sensitive data like this has no right/ need to be broadcast in newpapers or be open to public scrutiny on the internet.

Improvement of communications: All forms of communication (letters, phone calls etc) should be made in plain and simple language so there is no confusion and it is very clear what is said, especially where debt repayments are concerned!!

    Why: to PROTECT You.

If you are a victim of a crime, you report it to the police. If you don't, it doesn’t exist, it doesn’t get tackled, and we don’t get the resources in the future to fight it,” said DS McMurdie.

Credit card transactions to be authorised by text/bluetooth from the registered cardholder's mobile phone or a bespoke electronic identification device.

Scrap the proposed I.D Card Scheme now. Before it costs taxpayers more money that it already has.

I agree: All business documentation must carry the Crystal Mark from the Plain English Campaign, failure to do so means the documents cannot be used and the management of the company producing them is jailed for a minimum of 10 years.
