Apparently, just banning gambling could reverse the global recession.

Why does the Children's Trust Fund have to be taxed? I thought the idea was to to save for the kids?

To make financial education in schools part of the mainstream teaching...all kids over ten should be taught about money and banks and consequences ect ...

Compulsory private pensions

Copy Australia's compulsory superannuation scheme for all employees to address the gathering pension crisis. Restore the dividend tax credit, for the same reasons.

(Dividend tax credit paid for by closing public sector final salary pension schemes to new joiners with no further benefits being accrued to existing members).

Yes.

If my wife and a friend 'swapped kids' during the day, each family could pay the other for childcare which would (via childcare vouchers) be tax deductible and count against the mothers tax free allowance.

Raising your own child is not something that you should be financially punished for!

The DPA obliges lenders refusing credit because of credit scoring to tell you the "logic involved in that decision-taking".

Unfortunately, lenders just say “your score was too low” which is in practice equivalent to “computer says no” or “we’re not telling”.

Stop them obviating their obligations under the DPA!

Require energy companies to notify customers of increase in tariffs before the increase not upto 90 days after.

At the moment an energy company could notify you in March that all the gas you used in Dec, Jan and Feb will now be charged at a higher price than you were told!

Banks not allowed to take money from one account to off set debt in another without notice of intention and the customer being given the opertunity to agree an affordable rate of payment.

Banks obliged to freeze interest and charges on debts where the customer has arrainged a debt management plan through debt counsellors.

Restaurants should be oblidged to display their tipping/service charge policy - explaining what happens to tips(are they deducted from staff wages) and to whom they are distributed. They should also be oblidged to detail their service charges on any menu's in the window.
