Stay at home mothers/fathers could be paid 'a salary' to stay home / an incentive to invest in the upbringing of their child, instead of 'encouraging all' parents to go out to work. This could be a percentage of the weekly allowance paid to the makeshift orphanges / childcare centres that is so encouraged. What do the low paid childcare workers in these centres care how children turn out at 18! It would be an investment in our future generations.
At least give people the choice and encourage family values.0 -
These companies are operating a ruthless, aggressive and very unfair system. Some kind of legislation needs introduced to regulate these cowboys.0

Scrap Mickey Mouse degrees and reinstate student grants for 'proper' ones. Let our most gifted and talented young people benefit from free university education as the majority of MPs did. We will need said people to get us out of this almighty mess in the near future!0

At these all inclusive resorts they have to pay the same price as an adult but are not allowed the same facilites ie, drinking alcohol access to some bars, the gym area. If they are not allowed the same priveliges as adults why should they pay the same price ( i am not suggesting that they be allowed to drink alcohol obviously)0

Of course, this works both ways. Rights for parents who take on all their responsibilities for the children, whether they are married or not.0 -

(I'm editing this to add some info which is not part of my word limit and to say why I've made this suggestion. I work p/t in a library. Most town libraries will have a selection of books on financial issues, from easy reads like those by Martin and Alvin Hall, through to heavier books, like how to deal with bankruptcy. Similarly, I know from people who I know who work in CAB and debt charities that they are overwhelmed by the number of people approaching. Therefore this strikes me as being a practical way of offering another service to people who need debt support without really incurring major costs, particularly if it offers a way to charities of helping more people by setting "homework" to those capable of getting some info about their situation themselves. The library and CAB/debt charity can share their book lists, then the charity just needs to send the person with the particular debt problem down to the library with the title of the best reading solution for their need).0 -
The Government should organise that anyone on benefit can work towards the BENEFIT of SOCIETY (who all contribute to their jobseekers benefit). And there should be overtime allowance so that people who work hard CAN make extra non taxed money. i.e. land/rubbish clearance, painting, building, sorting charity goods etc.

If every wage earner had 1p deducted from their salary (they can opt out if they choose) then this could go into a central fund for the benefit of everyone in the UK. Split between various charities, it could be voted for yearly by everyone and run independently.0
