1. Spread Council Tax DD payments over 12 months and not 10;
2. Force utility and phone companies to put contract end dates and current tarriff details on all statements.0 -
FREE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR CARERS
It makes common sense keep carers well, because often an disabled person will have to go into a costly nursing home for respite care if the carer is to ill to look after them and will cost the Government a lot more in the end.

To make further/higher education funding a basic human right. My parents worked all their lives, and I was told that I would get £0.00 of help. I had to self-fund (but only after I had managed to scrimp and save - and by then it just looks like you weren't focussed enough). It boils my blood to hear that others who met the means-tested rules took their grant, used it for a spending spree (drink and clothes), and only did a few days of their course. They didn't have to pay it back, and had no intention of working anyway. Stop this discrepancy, as we all pay back into the system one way or the other, and need the help from the start, not eons of years later. Education, education, education - not just for the select few or those with rich parents.Invented tradition: Couponology

As I said... Civil Servants below grade 7 - i.e. the vast majority are subject to exactly the same rules. When it comes to expenses, they are actually paid LESS than the private sector.
You need to do 3 things:
1. Distinguish between the senior civil service and the rest and remember that the majority are ordinary folk.
2. Get your facts right.
3. Get your mind tuned to the fact that being an ordinary Civil Servant is absolutely not the cushy job some people believe it to be. Those days ended during Thatcher's time.

Go one better: Free prescriptions - full stop.
Then tell the rip-off drugs companies that they will sell at a price we (the state) determine, or they will lose patent recognition and be barred from doing any kind of business in the UK ever again. If they won't play ball, we take the formulas and make it ourselves - we have the facilities.0 -
I think that they should put a 6 month freeze on the home information packs, Get more houses on the market again, It costs around £180 just to think about moving. :T
I'd abolish them.
They are utterly pointless, as any sensible buyer will have their own surveys and searches, etc. done before buying anyway.0 -
It is ridiculously bureaucratic for Winter Fuel Allowance to be paid separately each winter when the £250 could simply be paid (at £5 per week) as part of an increased State Pension.
As I pay my bills by DD I look forward to winter fuel payment to help with the extra costs of Christmas, so would not like the "gift" added to my weekly pension.0 -

Hi
Yes, I agree with Martin bank statements/online should include your rate of interest. But also, what interest rate was applied in the last 12 months like the Skipton Buildinf Soc.

Hi
Online banking, some banks do not have an online complaints email address. So if you have a problem you must write in, which means trying to find pen, paper, envolope, stamp, etc...
