I tried applying for the credit limit increase on my BOS card and it was declined, and they are still not letting me have an overdraft. I won't be surprised if they reduce my credit limit. Everything was going great before Lloyds took over.
I think it's time we part ways, but will definitely keep the credit card until I'm given one from another bank. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Have you considered Barclaycard? How's your Equifax file looking?
I was shocked massively to say the least that they gave me what they did!!
Their "Gold" and "Breathe" cards seem to be the most lightly scored cards other than Initial. Although there is always the possibility they overlooked some of my adverse because I have two Barclays accounts and a ISA with them...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I don't qualify for any of their cards so there would be no point considering them for a current account. My credit file is perfect in my eyes. No adverse, on E/R etc.
I'll probably choose HSBC despite not having a branch in my town. I could pay cash into my secondary bank account and transfer it to the HSBC account, which wouldn't be a problem. We’ve had to remove your signature. I don't understand - you say you have no adverse, your signature says you have three credit cards and a store card - you say you are on the ER - so why wouldn't you qualify?
I'm confizzled.....
Oh and BTW technically I don't qualify either and their pre-app checker told me to take a hike - so not as accurate as one may think!!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

If you've defaulted on 5 cards, then you've got no hope in hell.
Credit card companies prefer to give big limits to those who pay their bills (in full).0 -
i actually meant to say i'd defaulted on 4 cards, but when i got all these credit cards they already saw that i'd defaulted on 1 and on a loan and they still give me them so am hoping there'll be someone within the next year r 3 who'll give me 1 with a big limit, r i guess i might just have to wait the 6 years..0

I'm an unemployed student. I don't fulfil their income requirements, unfortunately. I don't have a store card, Kays (I assume you were referring to) is a catalogue company which will be closed Monday at the latest. I detest catalogue companies and their ridiculously overpriced products so I'll be glad to get rid. Useful for the green 0's though, that I can't deny. We’ve had to remove your signature. How are you anyway?
No mate - its like a basic account that gives a debit card (Visa Debit) and allows DD's etc but no o/d or chequebook. Ive not used it yet but will try it out and see how it pans me thinks
